I am still trying to figure out how it works. It is one of the few V5 functions that I still do not understand.

From my understanding if you use an attack/release function on a note you can go into the emotion tool after you apply it and you have an orange field that you can drag that will tell the attack/release how far into the note to go so you can make it smol or large! super handy and if you click and drag up or down on the field you can change how strong the effect is (this is also the knob in attack/releases function!)

Thank you for the explanation. I have always used the knob, so I thought the emotion tool was not needed. I wonder if effects can be lessened or increased even more with the use of both the emotion tool and the knob, or if the emotion tool can produce effects that attack/release could not do.

The emotion tool the up and down controls the knob so you can see it move the main thing about it is having control over how much of the note the attack/release apply to :) Like I avoided the pitch cause of how much of the note they took up but now I can drag it to only be a small dip in the beginning or make it a longer pitch bend! There is also some crazy vibrato function in the emotion tool where if you apply a vibrato release then click on it with the emotion tool you get a drag menu to get it to sound how you like :)
