I remember hearing that saki ai demo song before with iroha and thinking how great it sounds. It's really impressive how much singing synth technology has improved you can tell irohas pitch kinda snaps to the note in a unnatural way. Make me hope we'll get ai banks for more vocaloids
Ai voice banks do inherit the pitch of their voice provider. It could be a yoko vs kiritan in which I found yoko to stay on pitch better than kiritan probably because yoko is a classical trained singer. Pitch is also a weird quality too like certain singing styles require it to be slightly off...

I think if they can make an English ai bank that's not offensive and pretty generic sounding session singer. I think it will get popular with the English songwriters for demos.
It sounds like they captured more of the voice provider. I've always thought sampled based vocal synths like vocaloid always sounded like they are missing a chunk out of the human voice. I'm glad we're are finally able to have a rounder fuller voice
Oh I think the edm marketing would be because she is a vocaloid and that edm people who make their music mainly in the computer would actually use her and take the time to tune. It's also that was the popular genre at the time.
