Most new software is really buggy on release - that's why so many people don't preorder or buy games on launch like they used to, for example.
EDIT: Remake of Mai's original demo with SV2.
That's actually much worse than Tiny Vocaloid, which wasn't great but you could still play around with a VB for a limited number of bars. SV2 trials sound almost pointless to use if you actually wanted to experiment and see if you like a voice, because 40 notes isn't a lot at all.
This is actually a popular opinion on here lol. Are there more people being willfully blind on Xitter/Bluesky? Many of us on this forum are old school vocal synth fans who can remember all sorts of fan synth and VB projects going up in flames for different reasons, which is why some of us like...
I'm still annoyed they held that poll mainly for Japanese fans, who vastly preferred a demo VB featuring Kafu sounding closest to the real KAF, only to backpedal and go with a voice that was more unrealistic. I know KAF didn't want a VB that sounded too close to her in real life, but that goal...
I'm surprised by Kiyo's design - I think it's the most casual outfit he's ever been drawn in. It's definitely a far cry from when he was originally conceptualised as a teacher in the V2 days.
Miki's design is fine, but it pales in comparison to her V2 and V4 designs. I don't hate it, but it...
I had to think about why that image seemed familiar, then I realised it looks like whatever AI generator was used pinched Asterian's official art at some point and used that as a base for the new "image".
Also, I'm glad the internet seems to have collectively decided to dismiss all AI art as...
Another issue is that V1 and V2 might have issues running on modern OSs. I know V1 had some program-breaking glitches on Windows 7 back in the day that were a pain to work around.
Crypton posted an anniversary song for Luka the other day, and she sounded far too cutesy and Miku-like compared to all of her previous banks, which is really bothering me now (even though I'm not exactly the biggest Luka stan around. I like her, but she doesn't top Miku for me). I was also...
Fingers crossed IA V6 English via cross-lang will sound much more accurate, smoother and understandable compared to IA CeVIO. I've heard some good songs with IA CeVIO English, but CeVIO's engine noise was always present and it could still get grating sometimes.
It's also nice to think that at...
I kinda agree, and I also want to add to this by saying I honestly think Miku Solid sings English better sometimes than the actual Miku English VBs. Mainly because Miku Solid has this (good) quirk where it enunciates every consonant, so you can approximate English phonemes better with Solid than...
I've seen a few complaints from native Spanish speakers that the Spanish opera vocal is hard to understand. Presumably, the VBs are still in beta for the time being, so hopefully the Spanish language data will be improved before release.
Ninezero has a brother, and Prima's back! /joking
But seriously, I'm glad Eclipsed Sounds are taking risks by creating more genre specific VBs for SynthV. Screamo VBs for commercial vocal synths have been begged by the fandom since the V2 days, when producers figured out how to get the...
