Now that I've had a chance to mess around with Eleanor Forte AI, the plosives can be controlled in the editor under Note Properties > Timing and Phonemes > Strength. So if you hear a D or T or whatever that's too strong, just turn it down to taste!
In case anyone wants a fix for this problem, it can be done using TDR's Nova plugin, either the paid one or the free one. Here's a little guide for those who may be interested:

Carry-on should be fine, but I wouldn't pack them like that. Security prefers the contents of your bag to be easily searchable, and if they see something all taped up like that they'd probably consider it mildly suspicious.
The voice sounds clean and not scratchy, so I'm satisfied. Besides, I don't do the wibbly-wobbly pitch bend thingies that are so common in modern pop music, which means that some of the artifacts heard in the above sample probably won't be an issue for me.
