I use Studio One 5 Pro (version 5.4), and Piapro (vers 2.0.4.3), and I haven't had any problems with lagging. I just tested with Miku English, and it works perfectly. So maybe there's some problem on your setup? Did it work before?
So, I love to work in SynthV, especially Maki (I prefer her english to Eleanor actually). But as I make originals and not covers I tend to change my song while working on it, so I might decide to move a part to another place in the song. But the parameter edits don't seem to follow! Am I doing...
I think the vocal is too loud, so it sounds disconnected. I don't know much about this style, but I would also suggest i little more bass in the music mix.
And maybe cut the vocal in the 2KhZ area to make it less harsh, but that depends on your intention with the song.
Just an additional comment on 'tuning': It has been used in the Vocaloid community for any kind of editing of the voice, like editing phonemes and dynamics, not just pitch. It also confused me a lot when I started out! So - don't worry, most Vocaloids don't need pitch-tuning to sing in tune...
If you are working on an original or if you plan to add extra instruments then you should uncheck these two yellow dots in piapro - then your DAW decides the tempo, and not piapro.
But if you load an instrumental with a vsqx then these dots can be left yellow, and it should match the tempo...
Prism: Can you tell more about the "unofficial editor" for Neutrino? (or maybe post something in another thread). I've search a bit bit but couldn't find any info.
Anyway, these examples sound great.
I've been doing some more testing. And at the same I sort of learned to use Melodyne Assistant, which I didn't use properly before.
- You can use GSnap without making a wave file first. Just put it on as an effect on your Vocaloid 5 track in the DAW.
- There's another similar free plugin called...
Just to clarify as I think it could be misunderstood, because we also have Synth V that behaves differently: What I meant about Romaji syllables is, that V5 splits the syllables automatically, like in English. Piapro can't do that with Romaji.
Coming from Piapro I've slowly getting used to edit in Vocaloid 5. Even though I miss the default vibrato from Piapro I sort of like that I have to decide the vibratostyle for every note (you can select several notes and put on vibrato for all though, but I mostly edit note by note), but it sure...
Maribelle: It was actually referring mostly to Miki. I had her trial, and she has a good voice but it's sometimes out of pitch. I decided not to buy her though, because of the pitch problem, so I don't have her to test, but that would be interesting.
Of course you should make all your normal tuning as you usually do in the vocaloid editor (attack, vibrato, dynamics etc) before you export a wav file. Then I think GSnap could maybe tidy your pitch up for you, depending on your settings.
Also, I tested it and found that normally it's much...
I found this video on youtube by "GuitarHeroPianoZero" about tuning vocaloid or other vocal synths. This time tuning means REAL tuning, like making out-of-pitch sounding vocaloids sound more in tune.
He uses the free plugin GSnap to make the exported wave file of the vocalid sound more in tune...
you can disable snapping in: view -> pianoroll ->snapping
But changing length of notes frustrates me a lot in Synth V, and I think it has become worse in v2 (I can't compare, I don't have the old version). It seems that the point where you can grab hold of the note to change the length is very...
I think it's a good thing with many variations on voicebanks - I didn't know this was kind of a controversial opinion.
I also like Gumi - and for me, it's the native, adult and whisper voicebanks I like the most, power and sweet seem less interesting at this point in time, but maybe I like them...
Uncreepy: Thank you very much! I'm just starting to write some sentences, mostly just copying things I find on youtube or on websites. I already realise that you have to think differently in Japanese as I sometimes try to translate back and forth in google translate (yes, I know it's bad at...
Parallax_fifths: Thank you, I'll think about that.
Nezuh: That's a great trick, and if you use the devoiced sound ('s M_0') and a short note with a low velocity, you'll get the sound I seem to most often hear in conversations. I know, that it may be ok to not use devoicing, I just want to be...
I know that you can make a Japanese Vocaloid sing an unvoiced 'u' by using the phoneme 'M_0'. But I was wondering if there are alternatives, and if some of you use other ways? Sometimes a couple of phonetic 's' sound better I think. But what do you do?
Also, for those who knows more about...
