always nice to see many questions! hehe
- yes, lottery tickets can be printed by just showing the barcode to the 7-11 cashier, while the accomodation plan tickets are given at the entrance of the exhibition, there is a table and staff member sittings, waiting to give you the tickets (you need to show your passport, your confirmation email and bring also your credit/debit card used to make the payment, that's important).
- exhibition is open all day (check the website for more information, since the times change depending on the day/location), but! if you only have accomodation plan tickets, then the first time getting them you'll have to wait for the accomodation plan staff to be available at the table I think is around 10:00am? also, the entrance line will be long, so be sure to ask to the staff (usually at end of line) which is the correct line, because first you need to get in the line to get the accomodation plan tickets, then you get in the general entrance line. the following days, if you already have the tickets (also from lottery), just get in the general entrance line.
- all goods booths are inside the exhibition hall, and especially the official goods, Volks and Goods Smile Company booths have very, very long lines (think of 30min-1 hour line on average). Usually in Tokyo, in the concert venue, there is a small shop selling some official goods (including the glowsticks). The stock for glowsticks is usually good, but you can buy a not branded led glowsticks at shops like Animate or Donki (Don Quijote, they sell everything). Some goods will go sold out in the first hours, that is normal, but they restock them the following days, so you can check about them again. Tokyo is the most crowded situation, Osaka is better in terms of enjoying the exhibition and getting more goods (since there are a bit less people). Fukuoka last year was the most enjoyable and so relaxing, I think this year Sendai will be too.
- You can line up 2-3 hours before, that's ok ^-^ but again, if you only have accomodation plan, the first time getting the ticket you have to wait until around 10 or 11 am (they will tell you the time), so there is no need to line up early. It's nice to line up in the early morning, that's an experience you should do at least once hehe
- for the merchandise, especially Good Smile Company booth sell lots of figures, so you surely need some bags. The official bag from the official store is a good shoulder bag, but I always recommend to carry a backpack, so you have hands free for taking photos, videos and carry more bags. Backpack is also so useful to store drinks and snacks (restaurants and convenience stores like 7eleven, Family Mart and Lawson are outside the exhibition, some vending machines are inside the venue). Then yes, after you have enough bags, is better to go back to hotel (or use a coin locker around the venue or the train station). When you enter, they give you a wrist paper bracelet, that is your re-entry ticket for that day, so you can easily exit and re-entry from the re-entry entrance.
- to buy goods, you can use cash, credit/debit cards and the IC cards like Pasmo and Suica (recommended, you can buy them for 500yen at any station ticket machine and charge with cash money and then use it for the train/metro, vending machines and any shop that accept IC card, basically all)
- it's ok to enter the concert venue with some bags, but since the seats space is limited (you can put some bags in front of you and under your seat), is better to bring just your backpack and one bag, then leave the others at the hotel/coin locker
- about your friend, the accomodation plan was the same? I mean, you selected 2 tickets and maybe same hotel room during the same application? then yes, surely seat together.
- is very easy to find your reserved seat, for Osaka there is line 1-2-3-.. seat Y, and for Tokyo there is block A-B-C-.. seat 1-2-..-100 (each block has around 100 seats) there is sticker behind each seat with the correct number, also lots of staff member ready to help you finding the seat, dont worry ^-^

I see, thanks for answering all my questions!
Am I going to be losing out on any merch opportunities by virtue of having to wait to get my accommodation tickets? my concert is in Osaka, I dont know what they're going to be selling and I've heard that all that information comes out later closer to the concert date but I really just want a bunch of Rin and Len merch. I don't know how popular they are over there, but I assume its fairly competitive for all singers.
there was something I read in a google doc put together by the vocaloid discord server last year about sheets of paper for the merch lines, that you fill these out and then hand them to the clerk to get what you want. is this still the method? and is it in japanese? I am currently learning the language and while im nowhere near fluency I can pick out the names of the singers i like. but with google translate and such these days im not too worried about the hypothetical paper slip just that i might lose the opportunity to get the merch i really want.
Although at this point worrying over merch that hasnt been announced is rather pointless, i digress. Once again thank you for all the hospitality and for putting my previous worries at ease. im a total beginner to magical mirai, and really concerts in general. so please feel free to unload any hard earned wisdom that any of you have accrued throughout the years. im sure i could use it, thank you!

that's a pleasure ^-^
since you'll be attending Osaka exhibition, that's easier in terms of goods availability and lines (entrance lines and booths lines). Tokyo is more and more crowded, especially 1st and 2nd day.
you are not losing any good opportunity, because in any case there are some fans that start lining up at around 6am. hehe Like I said in the previous message, the official goods store is the most crowded one, while the other booths are less crowded, and I recommend to don't worry too much for the goods availability and just enjoy the exhibition as it is ^-^ I mean, it's ok to find some sold-out items, it happens to everybody, even to fans that line up at 6am, and in most cases you can buy them later on some yahoo auctions or mercari listings (by using a proxy shopping service).
Here is goods page of Magical Mirai 2023 and 2024, so you can see some examples:
(there are also smaller booths that offer many kinds of items, check always the magical mirai twitter for some news about that)
about the order paper sheets, yes yes! They usually give you those sheets while you are making the entrance line or the official goods line or Goods Smile Company booth line, and yes items are usually in japanese, but there are some pictures, and I recommend to save as PDF the goods page of the main website, so you can print it or view it on your phone, so even if you don't know japanese, you can understand what is that item on the sheet. What you wish to buy, you put a X near it or a number (1,2..) but most items have a limit purchase of 1-2 units per person.
clerks are very kind, and those sheets are just made to make the waiting line "flowing" faster in the official goods booth and Good Smile Company booth. The other booths have all items on display and also near the cashier there is always a printed panel with all pictures and prices of the items, so you can just point them with your finger. You can say little japanese "kore to..kore to..kore to..kore desu" (this and..this..and this..and this) :luka_lili:
check also the Important Notices page:
what I can recommend more? you can try some lottery tickets for Osaka for the other days/concerts! the day concert is a bit easier to get compared to evening concert ^-^
and try to attend the Creators Market too(is next to exhibition building, more details in the coming weeks), you can buy CDs and various goods directly from the producers and artists, that's so nice!
and the backpack thing is very important, you can carry goods, drinks and snacks, so always bring at least 2 drink bottles (green tea is so good in summer, if you like it). There are many vending machines around the exhibition, but is always a good idea to have drinks and snacks ready for you, because summer in Osaka can be very hot. Check also the weather forecast on tenki.jp, typhoons can happen during summer (strong winds and lots of rain).
Then..mm.. oh yes! if you want to buy some t-shirt, remember that usually japanese size is smaller by 1 size. What I mean, if you usually wear M size, is better you buy L size. Also, taking pictures and videos is ok inside the exhibition (not in the concert venue), but some booths might have a sign of not taking photos or videos. If you're unsure, ask the clerks if you can take some photos or videos of their booths/items (95% is ok). You can ask by saying "shashin o..ii desu ka?" (is ok to take a photo?), and if you see some cosplayer you might like to take a photo, you can politely ask by saying "shashin o totte mo ii desu ka?". always ask,and the cosplayer will be happy to hear that sentence ^-^
here's a Osaka video of Magical Mirai 2024 exhibition from one of my very good friend :miku_sakura_lili:

once again Magical Miku you prove to be the best Vocaloid fan I've ever interacted with! I never would have thought to look through the old merch websites! would you recommend that I line up for official merch first? I don't own any penlights and I would rather like to get some official ones for the show. that is mainly my worry above all else. I do have some other lottery tickets in for osaka on the following day, whether I get them or not is up to fate.
as for the rest of your advice, it is greatly appreciated. I will take it all to heart and jot it down to review closer to my trip! :rin_smile_lIlI:

ohh thank youuu for your kind words!:kokone_lili:
since you don't have any penlight, before the exhibition (the day before or some days before) I recommend you go to a Donki store to buy some penlight:
https://www.donki.com/en/
https://www.donki.com/en/store/shop_list.php?pref=28
(Donki stores have so many floors and they sell everything, always a nice experience!)
and because you'll go with your friend, you might decide to split up once in the exhibition, so you could go lining up for the official store goods, and your friend might go exploring the smaller booths. Important! Intex Osaka venue usually has free-wifi, but since many people will use it, don't rely on it, so if you split up with your friend, always say something "let's meet again in 30 minutes/1 hour" around here, for example next to a vending machine ^-^
here is an example of items picture next to the cashier of a booth (this was the ESP Guitar booth), those red tapes are the sold-out items, but you can check the following days because they restock some items::len_smile_lili::rin_smile_lIlI:

interesting, interesting. I'll definitely have to look into getting a penlight before the performance. I dont want to be one of the only ones not swinging anything around! nice point of splitting up, I hadn't thought about it but i will almost certainly be doing that. Should I have any more questions I will return to bother you some more lol :) :len_smile_lili:

First official merch has been revealed and can be looked at on the official website.
Also, the official album has a page now too, meaning (as every year) everybody that wants that CAN spoil themselves on at least a handful of songs that are pretty much guaranteed to be played live (for the first time or returning).
As somebody who traditionally looks at those I can say... very interesting choices! :-)

Very interesting indeed. A few songs a haven’t heard in very long time.

I’m looking forward more to the songs not on the album. Other new songs, classics, Deco*27 song, and will we get Hand in Hand for the 10th year in a row or will they omit it.

Hello!! I found this forum because I'm doing lots of research to make sure I can see Magical Mirai in 2026. It's been really helpful to figure out the ticketing process early!!

I'm trying really hard to make it next year for my beloved Kaito's 20th birthday. It seems like he always only gets one song compared to every other singer...But surely, they can't ignore him that year right....? :kaito_ani_lili: Since I want to be there in 2026 specifically I've been thinking of going for accommodation instead of risking the international raffle despite the costs. But does anyone know how getting a good seat works? Is it random either way? If raffle vs. accommodation has a better chance of getting a good seat, so I can clearly see my beloveds face, I would love to know!! I'm trying to balance saving money and getting a good spot vs. losing the raffle entirely and not getting to go at all but its hard to tell what my chances are.

Also if someone with more knowledge wants to let me down gently with "I'm sorry, he will be ignored anyways" I will apprecaite it. :kaito_lili: I will go to celebrate anyways but I won't have my hopes up to high. I want to believe he might have more merch at expo or at least one more song. But it seems like he still just got one song on his 10th anniversary? How sad for him...

hello hello!! ^u^
nice to hear about that!! :kaito_smile_lili: so.. I think Kaito will get more songs for his anniversary, for example Magical Mirai 2021 had more than one songs featuring him:
probably there will be also more Kaito goods and maybe some special corner at the exhibition and some pop up shops around Osaka and Tokyo ^-^
It's always random, but choosing accomodation plan for at least 1-2 tickets is always a good idea. Even though is random, I feel accomodation plan gets a good "seat area" anyway (they reserve in advance a good area for the accomodation seats), and depending on your budget, you might choose accomodation plan for 1-2 evening tickets, and then try the lottery for the other day concerts (because day concert is a bit easier to get in lottery, more people choose the evening ones). For sure, choose Osaka for better seats location, since the venue is smaller, you're always much closer to the stage compared to Tokyo.
you'll surely enjoy a lot!!:miku_lili::luka_lili::kaito_smile_lili::len_smile_lili::rin_smile_lIlI::meiko_lili:

First lottery email results are out!!

I only won 1 ticket for Tokyo Friday night.

I find it odd though. That many people around social media are saying that they won 1 ticket out of the multiple applications. Came across not many people winning multiple tickets. I don't know if its a surge of Hatsune Miku popularity, which is GREAT! Or maybe a change in the lottery system. All I know, Miku concert tickets in Japan are extremely difficult to obtain.

Kicking myself for messing up on the Accomdation Plan, but a win is a win. :) Time to enter the second lottery.

Yeah this year was apparently a bloodbath, lots of people with 6 applications who didn’t win a single ticket. Even the lucky ones who did win are only reporting 1 or 2 max. I know a poor fellow who applied for 15 and didn’t win a single one 😭 I applied for 3 and didn’t win any either, so many of us are now hoping that round 2 will deliver some good news.

I'm having a suspicion that it has to do with the whole merged ticket seating. Since this year didn't have S or SS rank seating options. I think that made the odds of winning much more random. Even my tickets didn't show me what seat I would get.
