Hamamatsu will probably be end of July, Osaka early/mid August and Tokyo end of August, and like previous Magical Mirai, each venue has a different atmosphere and gives something so nice.
I always enjoy Osaka and Tokyo big exhibition and venues, but also Sendai (and Fukuoka of Magical Mirai 2024) were incredible, because you explore more the city around, and since the concert venue is smaller compared to Osaka and Tokyo, with a theater style seats, you are much closer to the stage.
Hamamatsu maybe will be similar in style to Sendai and Fukuoka, so it'll be a lot of fun and a great place to make sweet memories! :miku_sakura_lili: 💕
also, Hamamatsu is easily accessible by train, for example from Tokyo station, the fast shinkansen train Hikari takes only 80 minutes. I always recommend the Hyperdia website to check train routes:

I hope the winning song is actually something that sounds good. CFM has a habit of choosing awful songs that don't match the vibe of the concert theme (looking at you Square Ocean).

atp CFM should just use the fans' votes in order to determine the grand winner.

ATP I don't expect to ever like any contest winner songs, I thought that after magical cure love shot they would be more willing to take risks but it seems like they aren't interested. Witch is weird considering songs like METEOR are super popular and they can use the projections whenever but a lot of the time they're so forgettable.

Magical Mirai 2026 Commercial video has been released, and the event theme is Sonare of the Lake, with Kasamura Tota composing the theme song - Sora ni Menjite.

There's a disclaimer at the bottom saying that they will be using the LED for this concert, which is a very interesting choice of medium. The concert footage is from Lawson 50th, so we might be getting a concert similar to that.

Unlike 2025, the returning songs for this concert are challenging to predict as based from the theme song, they're going for a calmer, summer-y vibe this time around.

Let me try to make a prediction list based on the event theme and the overall vibe.

  1. Glow
  2. Deep Sea Girl
  3. Patchwork Staccato
  4. Marui Unabara
  5. First Note
  6. Loading Memories
  7. A Plan is Still in Progress Covertly
  8. Birthday
  9. Hajimete no Oto
  10. Time Machine
  11. Melt
  12. Saihate
  13. Dreamless Dreams
  14. Kokoro
  15. Melancholic
  16. Interviewer
  17. Perfectionist Complex
  18. Lost and Found
  19. Main Character
  20. Haisou
  21. Thousand Year Solo
  22. Leia
  23. Yomau Silhouette
  24. Ramunade Blue Longing
  25. Psi (very big if they bring this to a Mirai because this would make an amazing second, third, or post encore song because of the opening build up)
  26. Colorful X Melody

I had a bad feeling they were going to switch to LED this year. Disappointed but not surprised.

Main Theme: Lake Sonare (Lake of Sound, from "Sonare" italian verb word which is used to mean "make a sound with an instrument")
Theme Song: "For the Sorrow of the Sky" (composed by Kasamura Tota -LIVE LAB.-, arranged by Shimada Masanori)

from the official press release::miku_lili::kokone_lili:
Hamamatsu City, which will be hosting the event for the first time this summer, is a "city of music" that is home to many global musical instrument manufacturers, including Yamaha Corporation, the developer of the singing voice synthesis technology "Vocaloid," which is said to be the inspiration behind the creation of Hatsune Miku and other characters. Please come and join us for "Magical Mirai" in 2026, which will begin in this special city that can be said to be the birthplace of "Vocaloid culture".
Regarding the LED displays, there are some pros and cons about, and I've heard that the projection screen was still considered (especially for Osaka and Tokyo, while Hamamatsu has more floors of viewing, so the LED display is better for that), then the decision was made for all 3 cities for making the event same for everybody. Also, there have been lots of improvements compared to the first LED screen, and each year the technology of LED will improve more and more.
With the LED displays, not only the viewing experience is basically the same for everybody, no matter the seats or floor, but also the colors are more vivid, the motions can be more fluid and there is less reflection from the glowsticks, which has been a main issue for the projection screen (another issue was viewing from the sides). And the main experience is just better when there are more than one characters on stage, with also effects on background. Exciting times!:ia_ani_lili:

It doesn't surprise me that they switched to the LED screen but I'm sad it happened before I ever had the chance to go. A lot of people seem happy and I can't go so I have no right to complain.
