New UNI VP Request and Unnammed New VSynth From ST Media

I was doomscrolling on Twitter earlier, and I found an interesting post from ST Media, the company that owns UNI. They announced two things. One, that they're looking for new voice providers for UNI, and two, that they're looking for voice providers for a new VSynth character entirely. The official site goes into more detail, so I'll link both that and the Twitter post. It has not been confirmed what engine the new voice will be on.

This makes me so sad that all of the previous efforts for UNI Synth V voicebank went down the drain. And the voicebank development needs to start from the scratch. Hopefully the company can further tighten the T&C and all sorts of legal-side of the voicebank to reduce the risk of last minute sabotage or flip-flop decision by the voice provider.

It was both unexpected and bound to happen sadly...

However I'm curious about how they'll hire the new voicers and if the new vocal synth character would be either a new SynthV even though it may have left them a bitter taste regarding this engine with UNI's voicer or if they'll try to come back on Vocaloid nor even try out other synths like CeVIO AI/voisona

Anyway, going to get a copy of her before it's too late then

You can still buy UNI V4 on both Vocaloid's official site and Character Planet. You are right that you can't get UNI SynthV, sadly.
