New Teto pop up parade announced! I am probably going to end up getting it for collectors sake even though Im not sure if I feel like the pop up parades are worth the price
Pop up parades are surely worth the price, especially the L size models, since they are about 20~25cm tall and are great for showcasing 
They look so good especially when are together with other figures or plushies, and you can think of them like a "premium prize style figure" (the boxes are great too, I love collecting them), since their price are around 5.000-8.000yen, so much less compared to traditional scale figures (which have a bit more details, usually more about the base itself).

(plus side, they often go on sale, and used pop up parades, usually unopened brand new but with only little damage on the box, on AmiAmi have price discounts of 50% or more, so I recommend to check them there, my favorite shop)

But that's just my personal feeling, I dont want to discourage anyone else who is maybe interested in this figureedit: okay upon looking at my teto utau receipt a good chunk of the price is tariffs which is not really goodsmiles fault so idk maybe my negativity was misplaced lol. before tariffs she was 58 usd and that's a more justifiable price

With the 31st tomorrow, a note on the 2026 birthday AMP+ for anyone outside Japan, since this one is a crane prize rather than a retail release.
What it is — Taito ARTIST MASTERPIECE+ (AMP+), approx. 21 cm, 全1種, sculpted from a Kinutani Yutaka illustration drawn for Birthday 2026. White dress with gold trim, star motifs on the skirt, three gold stars in the hair, posed on pointe on a frosted pale-yellow star base. It is the 2026 entry in the annual birthday AMP+ run after Birthday 2023, 2024 "Flower ver." and 2025 "Party ver." Appearing in Taito arcade cabinets from late August.

Two versions, same sculpt — the standard white/gold one fills arcade cabinets nationwide; there is also a pink colourway that can only be won on Taito Online Crane (0452091600). Identical sculpt, different costume colour. Secondhand supply on the タイクレ version is much thinner, so it carries a premium — if you only want one, take the standard and let the pink one wait.
What it actually costs — there is no MSRP, so the market is whatever winners ask. Checking Japanese flea-market listings on 2026-08-28, boxed singles were clustered tightly at ¥2,599–¥3,099, and a four-piece lot came out around ¥2,120 per figure. Anything much above ¥3,100 for a boxed single is reseller premium rather than the market.
The catch is the usual one: prize figures get no overseas release and the flea-market sellers are domestic-only, so it has to go through someone in Japan or a forwarding proxy. For reference, the cheapest boxed single I had bookmarked is here, and the general 初音ミク Birthday2026 search is worth using in Japanese — the English spelling returns a fraction of the stock, which is the single most common mistake I see people make on these.
Two practical notes if you go that route: a 21 cm boxed figure is a volumetric-weight item, so shipping one on its own is the most expensive possible way to do it — worth stacking it with the rest of your birthday haul into one parcel. And watch for listings that use the official promo render instead of a photo of the actual item; ask for a real picture and prefer sellers showing the box.
