Zan-shin, creators of CUL and ROSA have announced that they will be launching a second crowdfund this year for WhiteCUL to be produced for VOCALOID6. Unlike ROSA, this crowdfund is all-or-nothing and I must say I'm heavily surprised.
They will release more info on the 24th and reveal why they chose Vocaloid 6.I love her design she is my favorite of all of the CUL family, but I am sad that she is planned to be on an engine I have no desire of getting right now :( and the all or nothing nature of the crowdfund; also any clue why she is all or nothing while Rosa was not? Is vocaloid 6 more expensive to get on or did they just use their extra funds on Rosa because of her not reaching her goal hmm
I guess it's because they are finally building up to make a new CUL (Our CUL, RedCul) voicebank and expand our CULture voicebanks universe? Idk, but since Miku and Cryptonloids are out of the game thanks to Piapro I feel like Internet Co. is trying to occupy the spot that once was Miku's spot. I can totally see either Gumi or Una as the "new Vocaloid mascot" since they're the most popular voicebanks released for V6 until now.I'm surprised they didn't choose SynthV or Cevio AI OoO) but good luck to them!
Edit:
Some of the replies really miss the mark... Iike there must be reasons why they choose Vocaloid. Maybe support this campaign first and then we can see afterwards if the demand is there for another synth port. Money speaks louder and where does the delusion of simultaneous dual synth releases come from? Development costs are not cheap and neither Gumi, Poppy and Rose were realesed on two different engines at the same time lol and their companies don't have to rely on crowdfund campaigns to stem the costs for development
what does it say?Zan-Shin has posted an update regarding WhiteCUL; I can only go off machine translation, but it doesn't look good.
fair enough… I uh don’t quite see how most would be comfortable backing this again after that :(
