Today it was announced that Miku Expo Digital Stars 2020 Japan Tour scheduled for May has been postponed due to the threat of coronavirus. No new dates have been determined yet. Some fans have been concerned that the Miku × Kodo concerts in June might also be affected. Anyway, it's clear that CFM is taking the situation seriously. Here's some measures Crypton is taking to protect their office staff as well as employees of CFM's subcompanies/services:

1. Flextime working hours. Employees can move their standard working hours later or earlier than usual to avoid peak rush hour commute.

2. Working from home. Employees with small children or elderly family members living with them can choose to work from home if possible for the time being.

3. Use of video/phone meetings. To avoid travelling to business meetings, CFM and affiliated companies will start conducting meetings via Skype and Zoom when possible.

3. Extra attention to hygiene. Staff are encouraged to wash and disinfect their hands when coming back to offices among other measures. Additionally, the use of payment methods other than cash are recommended.

+ some tweets I can't find anymore, but they were about Itoh talking on local TV about the measures CFM takes to prevent coronavirus infections.

EDIT: Fixed spelling mistake

Crypton did the right thing, and other japanese companies are doing similar things as well, because otherwise there are big risks in the long term. Even though Japan is one of the cleanest, if not the most clean country in the world, and they don't shake hands or give hugs in public unlike other countries, the risk is high because the high population density in most cities, and also because most people use public transport like trains, metro, bus and taxi.

Japan cancels school for 2 weeks and encourages events to cancel as well.

TOKYO - Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday asked organizers of big sport and cultural events scheduled for the next two weeks to consider canceling or postponing them during what is seen as a critical time for Japan to stem a rise in new coronavirus infections.

These measures are imo very overboard (I respect if people here think otherwise, that is fine with me, don't want to get into a fight over that), but I am starting to suspect that they are absolutely desperate to make sure the Olympics will take place, thus going to great lenghts to prevent further spread so things have an increased chance to be fine by the time the Olympics are happening.
I just can't imagine Japan of all countries just cancelling school otherwise.

It's indeed because of the Olympics I think, and therefore the government is taking drastic measures to make sure everything goes well regarding the olympics. Considering how the coronavirus situation in Japan isn't that serious, shutting down all schools in the country sounds a bit extreme. However, I'm no expert and I trust the Japanese government knows better than me what measures must be undertaken. And even though coronavirus isn't as dangerous as initially feared, I can only say it's good the government is taking action to protect people. But I think the Olympics are definitely a big reason behind such large scale measures put into effect.

Well there was at least one event CFM forgot to cancel
I swear they canceled that event, but I don't remember the tweet (it was in Japanese). I think that's why there's no audience (to avoid spreading sickness).

I tried to look on Google and Twitter, but I was only given a partially cut off English tweet that I have no clue who wrote (when I click it, it takes me to random Mikudayo stuff):
Due to #COVID19 safety concerns, the planned inauguration of #Mikudayo as the Tokyo Post Office Postmaster for a day has been canceled as well. Fortunately, the sales of framed stamp sets is still planned to go forward unless announced...

You think that the Miku Expo tour in the US and Canada will also be cancelled or postponed? I heard some people talking about that it's a possibility.

While the cancellations are quite disappointing to fans, CFM is doing everything to make sure that their fans are all well and healthy which is a good thing. 1st Place recently canceled an event featuring IA and ONE as well for the same reasons, so I'm glad Japanese companies are taking in consideration of their fans safety and health.

Now that NicoNico Chokaigi is cancelled (as a physical event), I'm really worried for Kodo Miku concerts. Sure it's in June and the situation can change, but I feel Kodo is at risk too.

yes.. also Miku Symphony concert.. and the "problem" of both Kodo and Symphony is that you really need it as a physical event (Kodo drums and orchestra), but let's hope for the best :)
the Tokyo orchestra for sure need extra caution, considering how close they are to each other, but for now we just need to wait and hope that the situation will get better and better :)
