Running my fan, I'm actually a little chilly, so I think I'll reach my goal relatively easy! I've also asked for electric appliances for my birthday that'll take up less energy (and take less time to prep food) than the oven. Since water is included in my rent, it means I don't have to monitor my usage, at least not as strictly; I can take long, hot showers and not worry about an additional bill, so long as I don't overdo it and just frickin'. Take seven showers a day. Though that sounds luxurious.

Now the question is, what to do about all this fucking dust? There's so MUCH. Buying an air purifier has helped, but I think it's also because it's trapped in the carpet; my room is the only carpeted room, and it's also the only room being affected. I plan on buying myself a little vacuum for my birthday. I'll get it tomorrow probably.

@Prism Thank you!!

Would recommend an istapot or a bread machine for kitchen appliances. I bought a bread machine for my boyfriend and he loves it. He uses it to make pizza on Fridays. I don't how help with dust.

@Prism OH yes! A bread machine used to be a staple for me back when I was in high school. I'd kinda like to learn to make it by hand, but if that doesn't go according to plan, I'll happily invest!

@cafenurse The trick is surrounding yourself with fans! Running a single modern pedestal fan on high uses as much electricity in a day as a typical AC on cool uses in an hour. By that math you'd have to run 24 at a time to match the bill, give or take, of course. I think that's like... $5-10 a month per fan? I don't know the exact math, but it'll cut your costs substantially!

Interesting! I already have a fan running at all time for my tinnitus haha...but...funnily enough...because i use it as a glorified white noise machine, i always have the fan part pointed at the wall LOL. Maybe I'll actually face it towards me :clara_ani_lili:
