I think for the west most definitely but I don't know how Japanese fans feel about cross lingual. It's not too out there tbh synth v is currently on sale 25% off on DL site and can be used with other coupons. But what I do find interesting about Internet co is that ahs is now selling una and rosa. I wonder if they are backing out of the vocal synth industry or trying to do a Crypton and make their vocaloids into mascots.

Granted, Internet Co doesn't own Una nor Rosa, they're merely distributors and in Una's case also developers, but not owners.

The cross lingual feature is definitely more attractive to the western market, Japan is predominantly monolingual so there isn't much initiative to compose in other languages beside japanese, contrary to here, Cevio is more favored there.

I've actually seen them constantly put their Vocaloids for 30% off since last summer. Last year they extended into the fall because according to the promotional email their summer sale was popular. Although interestingly, not every campaign includes Una.

@Prism @Legally Pipp Petals On the 21st, before the SynthV update, their VOCALOID download discount was only 15%.

The significant 40% and 30% off off sales started literally the day after the V cross-lingual update was released, so I do think that update influenced their decision to start the sale. I even found the Tweet with the announcement, on the 24th like I thought (the Synthesizer V cross-lingual update video was released on the 23rd). I acknowledge it could be a coincidence, but... I don't know. They were selling full sets of download version VOCALOIDs a 40% discount, all of a sudden. That's a big increase in the discount for just a coincidence.

And of course, I know that CeVIO and VOCALOID are still far more popular in Japan than Synthesizer V, and Japan is where most of their sales are. But their audience is not Japan-exclusive; as we all know, international sales do happen. They care about their international audience, and I think that's why the sale happened and continues to happen. That's all I'm saying.

Of course, you can have a different theory about why the sale happened if you want to, I'm just telling you mine.
