I feel this—I know Miku Hatsune is the correct way to write it, but akfjdkdhdkd I hate it that way so much. It only looks/sounds right when written Hatsune Miku, lmao. Goes for any other JPN synth, too. XD

Personally, I agree with this, too. I've given this some thought before and thought that there might be some cases where you need to make allowances for the foreign culture, but generally, my attitude on this is that a person only has one name. Whatever name that is, it should apply everywhere, and people in foreign places should grow a little bit and learn it.
Just for the sake of interest, as far as I can remember hearing, Miku always introduces herself as "Hatsune Miku" at overseas concerts. So I would argue that CFM regards this as the correct form of her name. Lacking an actual opinion from Miku "herself," I see this as deciding the matter.

@DefiantKitsune Come to think of it, I've noticed Kiyoteru tends to be equally referred to by his Japanese and Western orders, depending on the fan. Meanwhile, people still call Lapis 'Aoki' and it drives me nucking futs lol.
I've just remembered that way back when I first discovered Miku and Vocaloid, the very first Miku video I found used the Western order of Miku Hatsune. In an odd way, at least that stopped me from assuming her first name was 'Hatsune'.
But nowadays, I've seen the Japanese orders for the Crypton character names so much that 'Miku Hatsune' now looks weird to me. Saying that, the only other time I find the Western orders acceptable is in fanfics, depending if the writer is insistent on English grammar or not. (You know how some authors throw Japanese terminology around in fanfics, assuming every reader will understand them? I was one of those writers who avoided that entirely and strictly used English grammar and terms. So yeah, Miku was called 'Miku Hatsune' in my old Vocaloid stories).
