This is awesome! It would have been a weird start for Korean if Topaz had been their first voice, getting an iconic character like Uni is fantastic. I hope she gets a nice new design.
I'm going to wait for the engine to come out to upgrade, as it seems like the crosslingual feature has changed quite significantly - I want to check whether or not the new versions are to my taste before committing. However, I think the upgrade price seems very reasonable! The upgrades to...
Kiyoteru sounds fantastic! Love the range he shows in his last demo, from soft and sweet to more aggressive and rocky; it feels very in character. I've also warmed up a lot to Miki, she sounds much more like herself here.
Synthesizer V 2 is coming out March 21st! Activations are now handled by account rather than by code.

Design thoughts: Hell yeaaa to Miki's android limbs being back, we love a robot (give her a robotic vocal mode that sounds like her janky V2 PLEASE it would be so COOL). The pink ribbons look like tendons; it's giving ...anatomy? I like the design except for her depression-grey ear muffs, but I...
Chorical's teasing a Mandarin voicebank for Voisona! It's nice to see their language options expanding. It's been hinted that she's an existing character with a gemstone/pearl theme, but I can't think who it could be.
I feel really bad for Luka fans too, Crypton obviously thinks that cute higher pitched voices are more popular - while this is likely true, fans of that style already have Miku, and she'll never be beaten in that niche. I wish Crypton would lean into the unique qualities that drew people to Luka...
I've merged the threads!
IA V6 thoughts: I wasn't impressed by the demo, sadly. It sounds like a step down, not just from her 2.0 CeVIO, but from her original V3 voicebank. While it's nice she'll get access to some new AI features, her audio quality sounds significantly degraded, with some of...
That's really cool, I'm extremely jealous of all the NAMM visitors.
The biggest reason I'm wondering about 'normal' vocal modes is Galenaia, and the Spanish vocal synth community. I know they're desperate for a new all-rounder voice, and more native data to improve SynthV's Spanish overall...
Joez on Twitter bought up a few things in more depth:
To create an equivalent to manual mode, you set the voice to Stable in the Expressions panel and reduce the vibrato slider; this flattens the auto-pitch. My impression is that rather than being two separate options, manual and auto-pitch are...
New sample of Hxvoc! That boy can YELL.
And Galenaia too!
Someone there please tell me if they have vocal modes outside their specified genres, I'm curious.
They have names and a webpage now (Hxvoc* and Galenaia). Tiny bit of a mouthful but I strongly appreciate Eclipsed's commitment to unique names with good SEO, searching for content from Anri, Jun, and Selena drives me bananas.
*Pronounced 'havoc'
