Whenever I see 'beta', I normally assume it's something that's a work in progress. Perhaps this is some kind of literal beta testing programme for Vocaloid that you can sign up for?
It's funny, I was listening to the demo with my first impression being he sounded solid, but I probably wouldn't pay much attention to him... until the chorus hit and it demonstrated his higher notes. Now I'm really impressed!
Long story short, Fee was originally designed to be pure loli bait, which naturally got the forum condemning the entire project. The full details are on the original Fee thread.
I agree - under this logic, all the teenage fangirls in this fandom would have to be thrown under a bus for simping for Len, and let's not forget the people who thirst over Rin, Miku and countless other vocal synths who are either canonically or interpreted to be minors. Situation is still...
I can definitely tell Kyo has been rerecorded - he sounds so much more expressive! It's disappointing the other two weren't rerecorded, because now you can tell the differences between them more starkly when compared to Kyo. But I think Wil and Yuu were always intended to be backup singers with...
The main complaint I'm seeing is that she sounds too flat, but for we know, it could be a case of Yamaha not doing enough tuning. I've noticed Yamaha is similar to Dreamtonics in that they undersell their first party VBs when it comes to demos.
I'm shocked Fuiro is getting shit - you'd think after waiting for so long, the fandom would be cheering on new Vocaloids. Her voice is also rather unique by historic Vocaloid standards, and I'm really glad Yamaha took more cues from the fandom regarding her creation (the contest and all that)...
I was thinking the rap function could potentially improve the quality of Talkloid videos! It will be interesting to see experimentation with the rap feature beyond its intended purpose.
So far, it's just a possibility thrown around on here and some other corners of the fandom, based on Crypton helping Twindrill with Teto SynthV. I mentioned it too on a profile post.
As far as the fandom is aware, Crypton is still trying to make NT work, but they haven't released a progress...
I dunno why that cover is called a "screamo" remix when there was only one part featuring screaming vocals (and even then, it's not one of the best attempts I've heard with vocal synths). It's still a great hard rock cover though - just not what was advertised lol.
I won't lie, I thought this was a late April Fools joke when I saw the title.
Hopefully, there will be more demos showing off Teto's crosslang - I really want to hear more of her English!
If Quad was that more interested in building up lore for their characters, why did they release public VBs of their characters in the first place? We know about all sorts of private Vocaloids, though I dunno if Dreamtonics would allow private SynthVs.
I've only just seen the Chinese fan tweet...
I'm surprised by how robotic he sounds, but I agree that it sounds intentional. It kinda sounds like a throwback to V1 and V2 banks, actually, including the choppiness.
This is still freaking me out because I was listening to Porter's Virtual Self side project the other day and wishing for new...
Sheesh, it didn't take long for this one to turn out to be scammy. (Like I said in my first post, it really takes me back to the golden age in the worst way possible lol.)
Looking at her design, I thought she was meant to be another VB based on a vtuber. The design is cute, but I find the Izumo project's stated goals slightly odd, as so many banks already cater to otaku culture.
I'll keep an eye on this, as Ailis may very well become a throwback to when Vocaloid...
