Back in the day, Japanese producers pointed out the flaws with Rin and Len Act 1, so Crypton had to release the Act 2 bug fix because Yamaha doesn't allow patching for Vocaloid... Only for producers to complain about new issues with Act 2. Crypton can't win with tone and quality sometimes.
I'm glad to know that Meiko and Kaito are getting updated at least - they got skipped over in V4, and I think their English banks could be improved.
I can see that the (possible) redesigns are incorporating elements of all the character designs that have appeared so far, perhaps as a way to...
I'm guessing V5 in general and his somewhat short timeframe as a V4 kinda hurt Songman as a VB. Aside from being a male VB, and we all know about the male VB curse. Diva in comparison had a slightly longer shelf life on V4 compared to Songman. I love Songman's voice as well, but making him...
I definitely agree with the fandom maturing a lot over the last 10+ years, and I have noticed there are less kids and teens in the fandom than there used to be, and this is coming from someone who pretty much joined the fandom in 2008 when I was around 11 or 12.
But I must admit, I'm very glad...
I mostly saw anti-Crypton sentiment in the early days of the Western fandom (so give or take the entire V2 era). Mostly it was just hipsters trying to be cool by jumping on to a company like AHS and praising the hell out of their Vocaloids while bashing Crypton. I don't really see...
I'm still down for a new Crypton VB, even if at this point they would be on a different engine. It's been way too long since Luka was released (2009), and people have always been wondering where CV04 disappeared to (my guess was that Crypton was happy enough with Miku's success and the group...
As a native English speaker, I'm also curious as to how moving to Piapro permanently would affect the English Crypton banks in the future in terms of updates. I'd love to see even more fixes to Miku English, especially if the patches were regular, though Kaito, Rin, Len and Meiko English also...
I'll be shocked if they discover there's more to the UK than London and host it in Birmingham or Manchester. (I'm praying for a Birmingham date though, because I only live an hour away from there.)
Europe? I'm kind of hoping this extends to the UK and more Miku/Crypton merch turns up in shops like HMV. They're already selling Vocaloid posters, but it would be really cool if more general merch (like shirts or something) turn up in there and similar shops. (Geek shops are a bit hard to find...
It might be the case that other companies' VBs aren't supported right now, but Crypton might be planning to license out the Piapro Studio VB software to other companies in the future.
I like Vocaloid memes (aside from the offensive/gross shit, of course). I never even knew people got butthurt over them. (And apparently, Vocaloid comedy songs are fine while traditional meme formats are an affront to Queen Miku's honour.)
I find it hypocritical that the Miku...
I agree with the external disc drive idea - I have one for music CDs so I can rip them to iTunes. I don't think you get a free digital copy of any Vocaloid software if you buy the physical version, and only Internet Co. is selling V4 now (but only in bundles with their Vocaloids, I think)...
The problem here is that his VP is GACKT, who is super-famous in Japan and probably costs a bomb for Internet Co. to get him in to record. I think GACKT knows English, but considering any high costs to create JPN banks from him as it is, and English banks take a longer time to develop, Internet...
I love the turquoise Switch Lite! It reminds me so much of Miku (in fact, you could easily stick some Miku decals on it and turn it into an unofficial Miku Switch), but I already have the original Switch so I'm not planning on buying a Lite model.
I'm interested in how they might be integrating the Joy-Cons into the gameplay. Since the translation mentions the Switch's portability, I'm assuming the game will work in both docked and handheld mode, but some modes might be exclusive to docked mode. (It mentions that Easy Mode requires Joy-Cons.)
I'd love to see a Switch Diva game, but so far they've only put the Mirai spinoff on 3DS. If Sega were to make a Miku game on Switch, it would probably be a new spinoff title because the Diva buttons correspond to the Playstation controller's buttons, and I wonder if people would be too confused...
Does Edit Mode only support MP3, or in theory could it support alternative audio formats like AAC (the standard on iTunes and whatever the music side of it will be called soon, thanks to Apple trying to kill iTunes), FLAC (the favoured codec among audiophiles), OGG, WAV (Windows' lossless...
Some fast fashion brands have a really bad habit of stealing artwork from other sites, including indie artists. Urban Outfitters and Hot Topic are guilty of the same thing as Forever 21.
