Anything involving "robots" or machines replacing humanity is generally viewed with scepticism or downright fear, so I doubt Westerners in general, let alone Americans will accept or like the idea of a virtual singer in the future. (I don't think acts like Alvin and the Chipmunks and Gorrilaz...
You might be right, actually. But why do you need to wear a football uniform to enter a gym, unless they all use the same footie gimmick? Unless it's just the one gym and the rest have different rules.
The t-shirts are tempting, but my cheapo self doesn't want to splurge £30 on one. (Saying that, I did spend the same amount on a Tears For Fears t-shirt when I saw them live a couple weeks ago...)
As a Brit, I'm so happy the new region is based on the UK! You can tell the largest(?) town is supposed to be London, and I like how it references the Industrial Revolution with all the machinery. Also, there might be a football-based minigame considering the stadium and the main character's...
I miss the videos with the actual Vocaloid characters as well, because it personally made me engage with and connect to the mascots a bit more than just hearing their voices in a song. Videos featuring OCs don't have that same impact to me.
I don't really watch PVs anymore either, but I did...
A lot more kids are getting interested in technology through the devices that are now so common in everyday life - some schools in the UK offer coding, which interests kids who are into websites and video games. There's also been a stronger push at getting girls into STEM right now. Saying that...
I kinda hope they succeed - music shops have really been taken out by digital downloads and streaming over the years. Hell, HMV in the UK seems to be on its death knell too - if it dies, the only music shops left on the British high street will be independent stores and whatever crappy CDs and...
@Exemplar @uncreepy Wooow... I'm surprised he's even still allowed to be running such a high profile con. It's disappointing that 1st Place are even holding the IA gig there now (unless they really don't know much about American cons).
I took foam earplugs to the Weird Al gig just in case it was too loud (I have sensory issues regarding loud sounds), but I didn't bother for the Kraftwerk and ABC gigs because neither of their music is known for ruining ear drums. :P
I was caught in a real life discussion about gigs last weekend, so I thought I'd post a thread about it on here.
Admittedly, I haven't been to many concerts in my lifetime, but I have enjoyed the ones I've been to so far. My first gig was Weird Al Yankovic followed by Kraftwerk and ABC. The...
There's no official French Vocaloid, namely because there's no support for the French language within Vocaloid currently. But I do want a German Vocaloid too. :(
I'm not exactly an audiophile and I don't expect the headphones to have the sound quality of a high end product (my current heaphones are Skullcandy ones that have managed to survive near-daily wear and tear), but at the same time I don't like audio equipment where the output sounds like it's...
Perhaps he's being used by producers outside the fandom who don't advertise that they've used his VB? English Vocaloids have a habit of selling well, but end up being rarely used within the Vocaloid fandom, while producers not in the fandom just pick them up and use them as instruments rather...
Don't you dare get my hopes up! (Saying that, my dream collab would be Kraftwerk with any Vocaloid, but they haven't dropped any new material for years - they'd rather just release live albums whenever they feel like it.)
I would actually like a pet fox. Russia has been trying to domesticate foxes for nearly 60 years now, and right now 'tame' foxes behave more like dogs compared to wild foxes. But apparently, they're much more hard work to look after because there are some fox traits you can't ever discourage or...
