Just gave Saki AI a download and quick test. Works as advertised! And I'll definitely make use of it in the coming weeks, as soon as I finish my current music video.
(Note: Although I'm quoting peaches2217, this message is directed at Ronny777...)
I think this is a valid observation, but there might be a fix. Try pushing the high-pass filter up relatively high on Miku (at least an octave higher than Meiko), thereby reducing and/or eliminating her lower...
This video is a good introduction to the basics of pitched sound:
Although the narrator does neglect to explain what you're looking at when he switches to the frequency analyzer. And it's not correct to say that time only exists in the time dimension. But other than that, it's a decent...
Any particular reason as to why you've added huge boosts at 47.5 Hz and 100 Hz? Considering the pitch ranges that you're using, the voicebank probably doesn't have much frequency content down there. And if there is, boosting it to such extremes will mess with your compressor.
Have you tried dynamic EQ? TDR Nova is free and sounds very clean thanks to its parallel topography, although it does eat CPU cycles.
And you can also try swapping the order of your EQ and compression plugins, if you haven't already experimented with this.
That's your answer right there.
I saw an interview with Chris Lord-Alge where he states that mixing is an opinion. And I'm now at a point where I can understand what he meant by that statement.
Not so long ago I used to worry about "what's the correct method/level/frequency/etc.", and that...
I'm not really into horror flicks, but Tremors is an all-time favourite movie of mine.
The 1990 original. Not the sequels, not the TV series, and not the video game.
I find that devoicing is less common when singing Japanese. Not just for desu, but other words as well. Although it probably depends on the genre. For example, enka seems to pronounce every vowel in full. I personally never bother with devoicing, and my Japanese collaborator has never...
This time it's a triple collaboration. As per usual, the lyrics are by りくりくり. Arrangement, synth design, and mixing were done by Evan. And the music, vocal tuning, and video were done by myself.
There is a second triple collaboration in the works, but instead of 90s trance it will sound more...
Whoa, that's fantastic news. I want to use a female voice for this triple-collaboration track that is nearing completion, but we had resigned ourselves to delaying the final release until Saki was available at the end of the month. But if it's coming out soon, then I guess plans can be moved...
I was always renewing SynthV licenses. Every time I'd make a new song I'd also have to go through the re-registering process. But for the past few songs I got fed up of the constant re-licensing so I just used the voice banks without doing the legal stuff. I mean, what's the point? In a few...
If you're going for a pop aesthetic, lyrics are sung with all sorts of timings. They're nowhere near as metrically regular as 18th and 19th century western music, which works to pop music's advantage. A lot of pop music (but obviously not all) uses a very limited note range, which would cause...
I noticed that transitions now use semitones instead of an abstract multiplier value. That's much more useful.
Additionally, I noticed the use of left and right kanji characters in the transition properties. So that's what the L and R letters mean in SynthV! I figured that R stood for...
Yet another SynthV song. This time the lyrics were written first, with the music being made to fit.
I think I did a decent job of writing a melody that complements the words. Unfortunately the overall arrangement is kinda boring. However, if you're suffering from insomnia, this just might be...
I don't know why you think I'd be offended. You're essentially proving that opera is the sUpErIoR singing style. Checkmate, pop singers! Slap like now!
But in all seriousness, even chorale music routinely goes to G5 (and slightly beyond), and chorales are written in such a manner that even...
