lol, they’ve increased the accommodation plan prices by a significant amount over last year. Definitely opting for the lottery route entirely this year especially since SS and S rank seats are now merged into one big section, increasing the odds of winning.

Is it that much more (for the hotels)? Osaka is for sure, but that is probably due to the World fair there. Also no hotel closeby to the venue (Quintesses hotel), because of that too I assume. But Tokyo seems fairly reasonable.
I honestly expect that accomodation plan still would have tickets close to the stage, even with no SS and S anymore...

If only there was a foreign lottery with results announced BEFORE the accomodation plan starts... since that is not the case, I will still go for it, just by far the safest option...

Yeah, I mean it’s always been a known fact that the accommodation plan is overpriced compared to booking on your own, since it lets you skip the lottery for guaranteed tickets, but this year it’s especially bad (even if you take inflation into account). For comparison, last year Tokyo plan B, D, F for the fri, sat and sun night concerts at Makuhari Springs would’ve costed you 75K yen for the 3 night stay in a single bedroom (not including the 3 SS tickets price). This year it’s now a total of 83,500 yen for 3 nights!
Last year I also stayed at APA Makuhari, a fairly nice hotel which I individually booked since I went with the lottery, and it costed me 13,250 yen per night for a spacious TWIN bedroom (2 beds), and was literally across the road from Makuhari messe with a connecting, covered bridge that leads straight into the Messe hall. Compare this to last year’s CHEAPEST accommodation plan that offered single bedrooms: Family Inn, which is a tiny room at a budget hotel 25 mins away by bus for 19K yen. And if you want the closest hotel with single bedrooms (which is still a 10 minute walk away), you can be paying as much as 30,500 yen for a single night (Hotel springs Makuhari plan D, Saturday night concert)

You can see how just how inflated the prices are compared to booking on your own and going with lottery, but if you have the money for it and absolutely want a guaranteed ticket then by all means go for it.
Personally I don’t think it’s worth it this year with the increased prices + the fact that SS seats are now merged with S seats.

Since international lottery is next week, I got a quick question. I'm still new to the whole lottery system. I might not be able to go to the sale as soon as it opens and I'll be an hour or two late. Will this decrease my chances. Is it better to apply as soon as the site opens? I just want to be sure I can get a ticket for Osaka.

about the lottery, the chances are the same, is totally random ^-^ only the accomodation plan is "apply as soon as possible" (usually it gets mostly sold-out in the first 30 minutes). So you can apply to the lottery whenever you want, as long as it's during the application period: April 18th-May 12th (first lottery), May 16th-June 2nd (second lottery) :meiko_lili:

First time post! Just hoping for some advice please.. I'm planning on going to Mirai this year with the accommodation package but I'm a bit worried having read that they sell out fast and there are normally server issues? I was planning on applying for a Tokyo evening show but knowing that the AP's for Tokyo are the last to go live is it potentially a huge risk? Part of me thinks I should just attempt for Osaka and if I have no luck in 30 mins I could then try Tokyo, whereas if I wait for Tokyo I could just end up with nothing?

Just not sure how bad the systems are as first time applying! Perhaps they won't be as bad as the applications are spread out over 30 mins?

Any advice is appreciated!

welcome welcome here ^u^
yes correct, since the applications are spread out over 30 minutes, there shouldn't be server issues. I recommend to use Firefox, no other tabs open and use a PC, not on mobile. Also, keep on a .txt file some of your details (email, address, passport, card payment number, etc..) so it's easier to fill the various forms. Have also a "plan B" if your hotel or day is sold out, think in advance of another hotel and day.
As I wrote earlier, usually the most chosen one is Tokyo last day evening, so if you plan to attend that, yes try that first. The day concerts are a little easier (because more people choose first the evening concerts), and you can actually enjoy the concert more with the day show, since there are more students, families and couples attending that.
And yes, that's a very good idea to try Osaka first! Then, if you don't know where to stay for cheap between your days of Osaka-Tokyo,then you could think of choosing for example a guest house or apartment stay at Sakura House, it's much cheaper compared to hotel stay, I've used Sakura House Tokyo many many times, always excellent! :gumi_lili:
SAKURA HOUSE® - Furnished Guest houses, Apartments, Share houses for rent in Tokyo, Izu and Kyoto since 1992.
(apartment you have your own room, while guest house usually you have room+shared kitchen and shared bathroom. Then you have the laundry, usually coin laundry in a shared space, and the fact you can have a kitchen save a lot in terms of money, and is so nice to actually go to japanese supermarket to buy foods to cook. Each room has wifi and all bills electricity-water already paid, you also have your own address, so you can order both food delivery and package delivery, for example from Amazon JP, it's so nice experience. On the website you can see the monthly prices, but you can stay 2-3 weeks)

About the theme of this year, I'm pretty sure they chose that particular theme because it relates to alot of old songs (for example SPiCa, Stargazer, Fragments of a Star, Starduster) ^-^
if those songs came up I would be crying and hehe. And if I saw SPiCa and Stargazer play Infront of me I would make sure the 'river' in 'starry river in the sky' come to life xD
I think this years mirai might have the best setlists for me imao hehe
I should've found out about Miku and mm sooner lol °u^

I found out that on Monday (accommodation tickets period starting), I have no school, which is relieving. But then I realised I'd be in an airport or airplane when they start... -_-'
Seems like I can't check out accommodation plan for this year lol. =_=

Im gonna ask my parents if I go to next year maybe BC I can't physically and mentally wait to see how mm 25 goes out. If not I'd defo go mm 28. ^~^
Good luck for those applying for tickets, and have a nice day to everyone!! x :miku_ani_lili:
