I don't know if others here follow the Hatsune Miku GT Project, but I thought it's good to have a thread dedicated to it.

In essence this thread is for news about Racing Miku and the GoodSmile Racing team for which she is a mascot.

First bit of news for this thread is GSR's confirmation of entering the 2021 season of Super GT series GT300 class, and the reveal of Racing Miku's 2021 design. Art by morikuraen.

racing miku 2020 has still stolen my heart, but 2021 is very pretty too. i could do without the orange accessory in her hair (sunglasses?) but i love the floofiness of the skirt, the height of her shoes, and ofc the pops of pink. precious.

Yeah, there's a cutout for her nose. I think they're sunglasses/racing goggles.

AH! I'm going to keep an eye out for the figure! she looks like she'd fit perfectly in my collection. I just hope the make the hair just as flow-y.

Perhaps the kind of merchandise that few knew to expect, a Plamax model of Taniguchi Nobuteru, one of the two drivers of GoodSmile Racing team. Even comes with a cameraman to photograph him

Even though the Thailand and Sepang Grand Prix's won't happen this year, we still got a Tropical version of Racing Miku 2021 as per the tradition!

Another familiar thing from previous years is a collab with Super Sonico

Wow, that tropical version art is so pretty! I wish I had more figure space, since I assume she'll get one. But of course, you lose the background in that case, too....

There'll be a figure for sure, and I'm hoping for a good quality scale figure instead of just a prize figure. She would definitely deserve to become a detailed and well made figure.

First race of the season is this weekend at Okayama

Goodsmile Racing had a somewhat mid-pack start for the season at Okayama as they finished 14th in the GT300 class.

No ranking points for the drivers, but the GSR team got 3 manufacturers' championship points.


Next race will be the Fuji Speedway 500km race on May 3rd~4th.
