This is an amazing list! Didn't have any idea there were so many events!

I wish more of these showed up on DVD/Blu-ray, though. To my knowledge, there are maybe in the ballpark of 20-ish DVD/Blu-Ray releases; I counted around 219 events on the list....

Or even a Sonoca release, maybe...? Though I'm not sure it's possible to intentionally buy specific songs/shows via Sonoca; I thought it was now like a trading card booster pack paradigm?

I know, the licensing is likely different between digital and physical. And there are likely concerns about piracy being increased (for digital, at least). But since piracy is happening anyway, why not make some money off the digital medium?

I can sort of see the argument for keeping distribution somewhat limited, to ensure that it remains special. That's kind of hard to argue with....

At the same time, the series represented here are so different, it's a shame that so few of them get represented. And it's tough to see things disappear. I feel like there might be a better answer somewhere....

Thank you so much, mobius!! :miku_lili::teto_smile_lili::meiko_lili::lapis_lili:
mm.. for Sonoca, I think most of times is used to give songs in official way instead of a CD, if I remember well, Sonoca is often used for Miku Expo (it was one of the goods for the 2021 and 2023 online events), and it's nice that Sonoca allows you to both listen to the songs and also download them as a DRM-free file song to your phone (and you can then transfer them to your PC).
In Japan, it's common that when you buy a CD, you make a cd-rip to your PC to save it and listen easily on PC and phone/walkman (I remember there was also a portable usb IO Data themed Miku cd player with bundled software to make a cd-rip, which is allowed in Japan for personal use).

And you gave me idea to put some more details for each event! Some of them have dvd/blu-ray release, some have a CD, and some had a live stream (so you "might" find it somewhere "official or not so official", usually on youtube or bilibili), and if the events allowed to be filmed, then usually fans posted some videos on youtube, niconico and bilibili:ia_lili:
ok now I'll check the list and put more details for each release!:iroha_lili:
