VoiSona New Voisona song and talk bank was released "ray"

okay, so this came out of nowhere. Voisona have announced a new song and talk bank. In partnership with the Tokyo School of Music and Dance, "ray" have been developed based from multiple voices of its students. These students also helped in the creation and development.


And that really is how she is spelled, all small caps. The following is taken from the official Voisona website

A dimension-transcending virtual Ninja born in a future Japan around the year 2045, Blending tradition with futuristic elements. She possesses special techniques that allow her to freely change her appearance, and she carries both traditional weapons like a katana and shuriken, as well as modern items such as a microphone and headset. While embodying the spirit of classical Japan, she has evolved alongside advanced AI technology.

Ninja virtual artist. It is a Japanese female voice library created based on the voices of students from Tokyo School of Music and Tokyo School of Music & Dance High School Course. The character design was created by students from the Tokyo Design Technology Center.

She have both song and talk. And can sing in english too. But as this moment I have yet to find a sample of her English voice. They did upload her jp song voice on youtube


This is also part of a bigger project called "Shadow Virtual ShinoV". This is also the name of the youtube channel.

Personal note, she looks like female Gakupo. But instead of a samurai, she's a virtual cyber ninja made from the voices of multiple people who helped create her. Which already sounds like character in some shounen anime out there.

Edit: Okay, after looking at her for some time, she looks more like the weird lovechild between Gakupo and Kaito. Mainly the blue color scheme mixed with the traditional Japanese aesthetics and long ponytail.

something about her voice sounds kind of... strained? i would need to hear more of her

I love that she has a more mature, androgynous look! I've felt starved for female designs that aren't moe. I think most of the Gackpo resemblance stems from the fact they are both inspired by traditional Japanese combat-wear.
