Zero-G has 20% off of their Vocaloids right now, and this lasts until what I think is August 2nd, so if you want any of them, get them now! I've had my eye on AVANNA for a fair bit, so I'm definitely getting her, and I might get Tonio or Dex if I get extra cash before the sale ends. I've been needing another male vocal. I searched for some other vocal synths and found that Vocaloid isn't, Crypton isn't, Synthesizer V isn't, and CeVIO isn't involved.

Beat magazine has partnered with Dreamtonics to offer Synthesizer V Core (a feature-limited version of SV2, compare to SV1's Basic version) and a free voice! The magazine costs £6, so this effectively allows any customer to grab a SV2 voicebank for £6!

Interestingly, the screenshots they used for the SynthV editor are of the V1 editor, and they show off Eleanor Forte, who isn't even available anymore (to my knowledge). And also, I am totally grabbing this! A voice for only £6? That's incredibly cheap! I already have the full editor, but there are quite a few voices that I want. Although, do you know if this is only for the Dreamtonics SynthV voicebanks, or if it works for the third-party companies? I'd love to get ASTERIAN or SOLARIA, or especially Eleanor if she's available.

Thank you! I'll probably grab Liam then. I really do need more masculine voicebanks, and I was choosing between him and Mo Xu when I got my first free voice.

Looking at the SynthV Core editor upgrade to Pro package, I noticed something interesting. From the site:

Upgrading to Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro gives you access to everything not available in Core, including:

• Multi-track arrangement
• Parameter automation
• AI Retakes
• Built-in effects
• Scripting support
• Advanced choir timing controls
• The standalone application for full production flexibility

Most of this stuff looks like the previous SynthV Basic restricted features, except for three: Multi-Track Arrangement, Parameter Automation, and AI Retakes. Multi-Track Arrangement seems to mean that you will only have one track, but this is a DAW plugin, so that's not as terrible; Parameter Automation means that you won't be able to edit parameters in a window, and you'll have to set the values in the Voice window for each note group, which would get quite annoying for users of other vocal synths; and no AI Retakes means that you'll have to tune everything by hand. Interesting that they're restricting this, since it seemed to be a big point of SynthV2 that the retakes are more dynamic, but I'm just a simple user.
