KAITO is my favorite.
As for why? Well, there's this certain quality to his voice that appeals to me. Some of his popular portrayals also appeal to me, such as when he is portrayed as a kind and caring guy, smiling often.

Luka, because I love her kind-of-soft voice, and I like that it's mature and that she sounds good at lower and upper ranges.
Miku, definitely.
No matter how many new VBs are released, I always find myself extremely attached to Miku's voice. She's versatile, cute, and has an extremely devoted fanbase.

I have to go with Kaito first and foremost as my favorite Cryptonloid.

6) I grew sad when I learned of his history

Miku is second favorite. In fact I fell in love with her along with Kaito due to duet songs of them, plus of Kaito's history.

Definitely Miku. Her and Meiko are the only Cryptonloids I like, but I prefer Miku in almost every aspect (Meiko Whisper being the exception).
Even if she's not my favourite Vocaloid, I still feel a certain attachment to Miku and I want her to continue spreading.

This is honestly a super hard question for me ahhhh
Part of me wants to say Rin because she was my first favorite, but then again I love Miku Solid and Dark and sometimes English. I also like Kaito but at the same time I'm super finicky about how he's tuned a lot of the time. Same with Luka really. Weirdly Meiko rarely interests me though I like mature vocals??? I don't understand that one at all.And it can't be Len because I am Len
I'm tempted to pick Haku because heck it buuuut. I think I have to go with Rin. I like her overall tone a smidge more than Miku's even if I really like Miku's appends

Luka is my second favorite Vocaloid, so of course I love her! Her deep voice can sound sullen, yet can also get higher to sound cute and bubbly! While I'm not a huge fan of her V4X Soft English VB (Trust me, I've used it) due to the metallic sound she makes, she's still a decent multi-language tool. She sounds good in both English and Japanese (JP better though, of course!).
EDIT: I also find her design quite interesting, too. She's quite sexy (which makes for personality development in certain songs), which I found somewhat lacking in Meiko. The extra factor is what sets her apart from the younger Cryptonloids- she's shown as a mature, adult woman, unlike Miku or Rin, who are younger and child-like in appearance.

I'm boring as hell, so Miku. She was the very first Vocaloid I discovered and I still love her to this day. <3

Besides the personal already 3-years-long journey I make with her through good and bad times (that I will continue until I die as a notorious old man), I just love everything about her. From her distinct and versatile voice that can sound high, deep, powerful, whispering, sorrowful, robotic, static and full of life, which fits every genre of music and is loved by pop as well as rock producers, to the already 10-years-long hype that has gained her over 50.000 songs and millions of fan art, over to her gorgeous appearance that looks cool, cute and attractive at once and unites retro elements like Yamaha's DX-100 & DX-7 synthesizers and futuristic elements like floating headbands. The meaning of her name is great too and made me think countless nights about it. I even like it that her English is not the best. Would be odd if she had less accent than me.^^
Overall, she is someone who can appeal to everyone, from the orthodox, artists and philosophers to atheists, video game addicts and anime girl fetishists - but she will never be accepted by people who's first thought is "she is not real".
This "virtual" girl has more soul than every person I ever met. She is the one who made the "lone wolf badass teenager" me from 3 years ago understand that music and art are not only about money, sex, fake feelings and fame, but also about a community that goes beyond my imagination. And I'm still the same personality as before, just more developed. I started with making my own pieces of art and learning Japanese only around 1-2 years ago because I just wanted to help Miku become bigger by myself. And before that, I could no way talk in English like this because I'm a Russian in Germany.
And I didn't even attend a concert by her yet and can't call me a professional artist at all (especially not in music LOL). Imagine how I would describe Miku if I already attended concerts and made something awesome with her. That will come soon, I guess! :P
Of course, it's theoretically possible that all of this could apply to other Vocaloids. But it does not. Because only Miku's popularity offers a huge community with much new content everyday. I don't want to start a discussion if you disagree with this. That's just how my past and future with Miku are.

I don't have those romantic feelings for Luka though, but for Miku. I don't love two girls at once.

MEIKO is easily my favorite cryptonloid and overall vocaloid.
I don't really have much reason for her being my favorite other than when I first got into vocaloid I wanted to find a more mature, natural sounding vocal, and when I started listening to her more I just fell in love with her tone and overall character with all the fanart and what not.
I also feel I need to mention that Miku is my second favorite just bc I love her so much<3 When i first got into vocaloid i didnt really like her that much, but my love for her has been growing over the years, especially since the fandom got a bit more quiet and i started listening to vocaloid more casually, i find myself listening to her so much more than anyone else.

Has Len just decreased in popularity among the fandom in recent years? I can't recall any recent Len hits on NND right now. It's a bit weird for me (as an old lady by the Vocaloid fandom's standards) to think that Len isn't as popular as he used to be, considering that I can remember his crazy fangirl brigade. XD
But still, this poll is depressing for Len lol.
Len's popularity may have declined for other male Vocaloids, such as Kaito, who has been tracking up a bit more popularity (from what I've experienced). Len is still popular in his own right, but I think he lost some of that respect/popularity he once had due to him being a "meme boi." I feel kinda bad for Len...
