I'm surprised by Kiyo's design - I think it's the most casual outfit he's ever been drawn in. It's definitely a far cry from when he was originally conceptualised as a teacher in the V2 days.

Miki's design is fine, but it pales in comparison to her V2 and V4 designs. I don't hate it, but it looks boring in context.

Not surprised to see a confirmation that they're for SynthV 2 now. Otherwise, some people would have been complaining about them being stuck on SynthV 1.

AHHHH my daughter!!! miki looks cute in her SV2 design and I’m glad Kozaki is still doing her art & design. Hope we get a better look at her full design but I’m VERY happy Kozaki brought back the android body details back for this design, it was one of my biggest gripes with her V4 design 😭 I do wish this had some blue in it like the V2 design but it’s ok

Kiyoteru looks fine! Not much to say, pretty casual design.

Wait, how did I miss that detail the first time I saw the artwork? (Guess I'm really tired today lol.)

ROBOT LOVERS WE WON!! ANDROID MIKI IS BACK

On the designs themselves I think Miki's dress is cute, but Kiyoteru's look is so casual that it borders on forgettable. That said, I do love an oversized hoodie. And I'm curious to see Miki's boots once full pics are available.

I think the artist's style has shifted naturally over time, but it does kind of look like their heads are larger than previous arts. It makes them look younger. It's not necessarily something I love, but I will simply Pretend I Do Not See It and continue to make them young adult + middle aged respectively, in my heart and mind

Design thoughts: Hell yeaaa to Miki's android limbs being back, we love a robot (give her a robotic vocal mode that sounds like her janky V2 PLEASE it would be so COOL). The pink ribbons look like tendons; it's giving ...anatomy? I like the design except for her depression-grey ear muffs, but I am always in support of her having ear muffs.

I don't have strong opinions on Kiyoteru's design, so long as he looks like a teacher who just asked his class to explain what 'skibidi' means, I'm happy. It embodies the choices of a guy who has a vague idea of what's cool right now, but isn't ready to ditch the white shirt and dress pants.

God I love them bothhhh. I think Kiyoteru's demos are a slightly better showing, but that may be bias -- and I still think Miki sounds great!

It's honestly so cool to hear them with such quality now after all these years. It's just taking me back to when I was a kid trying to learn evey V2, around when V3 was dropping. Look how far they've come!! Aughhh my heart

I've warmed to Miki's new design immensely, I think it's so cute. At first I was so-so but mostly positive, enough time has passed and now I'm sold. Lol. I love designs that are a little quirky and pull too heavily on 'technological' imagery but are still cohesive like this. I think it's the spirit of vocaloid designs as it began.

On the other hand... is anyone else supremely confused about whether or not these demos were produced in SV2 or SV1? 'Kororinpa' by komedawara was one of the first samples we heard when she was initially announced and the pitch behavior at least seems the same. Was it in SV2 from the start? Is it an SV1 project file with pitch behavior saved imported into SV2? Is it just the track from the SV1 demo?

'Hoshi no umi e' by chomu was explicitly listed in the description as being "powered up by SV2". So were the rest also 'powered up'? Or are some of them using the SV1 compatible version of Miki mentioned on the product page?

I was disappointed that Miki still sounds super 'tinny' (for lack of a better word) in Chomu's demo. Like extraordinarily tinny. I do think her pitch transitions and pronunciation were very cute, but I was kinda shocked at that aspect. However, I thought the manner of singing and the color of the voice was the strongest in this demo. So if the tradeoff for individuality is a more obvious engine noise, I'm OK with that. (And would choose that.) Same reason I'm OK with CeVIO.

Time will tell.
