Oh man, could you link the song? I'm curious! :clara_ani_lili:

In hindsight, Hachi might have had a point. I'll reiterate the opinion I made a while ago that while Vocaloid isn't dead or dying, it is losing relevance against newer vocal synths.

I am curious as well. Making a callout post via a song is a rather strange decision to make :clara_ani_lili:though it would not be the first time that has happened. I believe OwataP's The End was a callout on Jin's storytelling, but I cannot remember if that was true or not or another "Owata dislikes this producer" theory like the theories about Paradiclorobenzene.
I always thought Sand Planet was about how it is not as relevant anymore, like Blue of Mind said, and that some are leaving it, but it is still alive since in the PV new people begin to follow Miku and some return. This is my interpretation based on the PV.

Wow people are still on that bandwagon? Does no one have the ability to move on in this fandom lol?

Well I think the backlash was more from what Hachi said about sand planet and his thoughts on the vocaloid community rather than the song or the video.
Here's the song I was talking about(callout is most prominent around the 2:00 mark): Syudou said on twitter it took him three years to say what he wanted to in a song, so I'm almost positive it's about sand planet. I can see how seeing hachi say the vocaloid community has no creativity might feel like a slap in the face considering lots of people started making vocaloid music because of him, but I do think the negativity is overblown. It's just funny to me that this is still such a relevant topic

Ohhhh I see what you're saying now. Still, people definitely do need to move on. I can't even see why this is such a big deal in the first place.

When people say the Western fandom is where all the drama comes from, I remember stuff like this, haha

The song is a bop, thanks for sharing

I never knew about his comments regarding it and the community. I was not interacting much with the community when Sand Planet released.
I agree, it is most likely a response to Sand Planet. at 2:04 you can see a desert-like locale, and Miku is referring to this person as "teach", which means she must have looked up to them at some point, which may mean "Teach" is Hachi. It sounds a little like Sand Planet at this point as well to me, but that may be a bit of a reach.

I am surprised this is being accepted into Project Sekai. It does not seem very professional to me to submit a song where you criticize a producer(and why no one on the Project Sekai team has caught onto the song's message is odd as well), and it will be very awkward if Sand Planet or any of Hachi's work is put in as well at some point.

It also looks a bit distasteful on Hachi's part since he got popular thanks to Vocaloid. If I was him, I do not think complaining about the community that got me popular would be a good idea. I personally do not care of what he said and it does not bother me, but I agree that it can feel like a slap in the face, and I also agree that it is getting overblown at this point. Especially considering that it has almost been three years at this point. But this is just how I feel personally.

@lIlI I have heard that a lot of the fandoms have a lot of drama, but the language barrier makes it hard for other fandoms to find out. Which is probably why we do not hear a lot from the eastern fandom, the spanish fandom, etc.

Vocaloid fans always get really upset when someone says vocaloid is dead so I guess all these producers roasting hachi is just a manifestation of that
