    On the bright side! I've finally discovered how to single out what specific files take up the most space, and I've already cleared up over 100GB, with more to be cleared! It makes me think I CAN get by on a quad-core laptop with 512GB rather than 1TB... hopefully.

    Nearly 400 GB, and still going! I'm down to 362GB being used up, down from 715GB. Most of it was downloads I was hoarding and big programs I once downloaded but forgot to uninstall.

    As much as I adore SVR2/SVS (what are we even calling it? What’s its official abbreviation?), I do have some gripes with it:
    • It renders low notes as very quiet and whispery. Genbu’s lows are no longer as powerful as his mids and highs - and no, changing the sub-pitch does nothing. It’s true across all banks, his is just the most notable and the most inconvenient.
    • Even the way it just renders things is sometimes weird... pitches will jump or notes will go off-pitch for no reason, even if (and usually when) you don’t touch the pitch controls for that note.
    • The tension parameter doesn’t work as well as it used to. It’s still a super useful tool, don’t get me wrong! But you can’t lean so much on it anymore. Lower it too much and, rather than a soft, whispery note, you’ll get a compressed and almost buzzy note that’s just unpleasant.

    Aaaaaaand that’s about it. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, but my God they can be annoying...

    I do agree that how low and high the notes really affects the amplitude of the rendered voice. Idk if this is a good thing or not.

    It’s great for banks that are normally softer, like Aiko, because her highs CAN be powerful but she responds well to low tension, meaning her highs can be nice and soft as well. It’s TERRIBLE for Genbu, whose consistency is all over the place. I plugged the file for In the Name of God into his Pro bank and it just sounded so weird...

    I dont know how any voicebank reacts aside from Saki but the lower and high things are amazing for her as well she has a very versatile voice so you can change the tone easily but the low notes especially are amazing with her!

    God help me, we discovered Zoom lets you give control of your computer to whoever you're on call with and she took full advantage of it. Patuk you deleted 20GB worth of Utaus, I'm gonna be up all night trying to recover them :clara_ani_lili:

    EDIT: actually, it only took about five minutes, if that... that wasn't nearly as laborious a process as I had feared.
