LAM being the artist for V6 was completely unexpected to me but I welcome it completely! I really dig the V6 design ESPECIALLY the fact they gave Miku her grey shirt back!! So so so peak. No notes and I look forward to them (possibly) designing the rest of Crypton’s V6 line. The English demo also sounds great! Looking forward to April 14th

Luka V6 next????
As much as I love Rin and Len, please can we get a new voicebank for Luka first? I honestly don't care if it's V6 or NT, just please can the Luka fans have something? I'd prefer for Meiko or Kaito to get new banks, but I know that Luka is likely next in line for an update.
Rin & Len V6 probably will take a bit more time, simply because they are two voicebanks with very different tunings, while Luka V6 might be easier, especially for her english voicebank.
In the past months we also got hints from Crypton team about Luka NT2 development going very well and faster, so I think this spring or by summer (Magical Mirai talking session in Tokyo, maybe?) we'll know more.
I can see Luka NT2 releasing by late summer, Luka V6 autumn, Rin & Len V6 winter. After that, will be Meiko and Kaito turn

Do we know if the physical voicebank will come with a disc, or will it just be a download card like all other CFM Vocaloids?
Just spied this on the Sonicwire YouTube channel: a Vocaloid 6 editor view of Shooting Star.
Honestly, the more I listen to Like a Shooting Star, the better it sounds. Looking forward to more demos/the full release. (I hope the song gets released for sale at some point, too!)
That said, the android premise seems to have basically been abandoned. There's no mention of "android" on her product page. She's her own kind of being.
Not to my knowledge. Though I've wondered myself, not having paid super-close attention to it but also noticing that, offhand, all her official artwork had seemed to feature full-ear headphones. Couple that with the original premise that she was an android, and the thought occurred that the headphones might be built-in.

First off, I'M IN LOVE with the artwork and design! I didn't notice her hairbands were shaped as hearts that's so cute. <3 Also she sounds amazing and her English just keeps getting better. The song is fun and Crusher did a great job.

They stopped including CDs with the physical editions back in 2024, when they reprinted the Cryptonloid V3/V4x vbs without them, so I assume V6 will be the same.

We consulted with illustrator/character designer LAM about the new look we've unveiled as the visual for "Hatsune Miku V6," with an eye toward future multilingualization and updates to the engine technology system. LAM created a design that combines a breezy, modern atmosphere with the timeless Hatsune Miku feel. At first glance, everything seems simple, or a more vivid version of cuteness, or a cool and lovely feel, but upon closer inspection, we feel that he has captured a "Hatsune Miku-ness" that doesn't fit into any of these categories.

Since December of last year, volunteers have been using the Early Access version (pre-release trial version) and have provided us with a wide range of feedback. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone who provided us with feedback. Thank you very much. Taking into account the feedback we received from volunteers, we have worked with Yamaha engineers to refine the engine from various angles. We are also preparing additional features that will delight our users as we look forward to the official release next month. We hope you will look forward to the release date.
