interesting teaser image! I feel like those artworks could be used for some kind of collaboration goods too, like clearfiles, keychains, t-shirt, .. (and the fact that the event will be at Animate hall.. mm..) :gumi_lili:

probably some news at the end of month (Crypton 30th Anniversary) or in August during Magical Mirai, since there will be some talking sessions and both Sonicwire and Yamaha booths :miku_lili:
I really hope about the miku thing. I've been waiting for a long time

Vocaloid AI vbs are pretty different from AI vbs of stuff like SynthV as they retain their artificial feel so it's a possibility it doesn't apply to vocaloid
it could be this, but i can't really imagine it's super intentional for vocaloid to have such a stylized sound, at the very least i can see them wanting to be able to compete in the realism category to SOME extent... so, should the voices continue to get upgraded and sound better, what would happen if a VA were to be unhappy with the new direction?

I actually remember seeing an interview of yamaha where they explicitely said they wanted to keep the voices feeling artificial for the producers to not hesitate to get creative with them

i definitely remember seeing her around but definitely seems she and a few of their other utau choices have more popularity in japan. cool to see her get a vocaloid! she does sound nice, i wasnt really sure about that sample from earlier... sounded a bit too rough with its attempt to be "breathy" but the demo actually sounds cool

You can now upgrade from Vocaloid6 Lite and purchase the included Yamaha V6 voicebanks (including the 4 V5s) separately from the editor. Upgrades include Cubase AI and you can bundle the included vbs too. EN news link / JP news link
Pricing (not incl tax):
Upgrade from lite including vbs: USD 203 / ¥24,750
Upgrade from light without vbs: USD 122 / ¥14,850
Yamaha V6 vbs (incl 4 V5s): USD 162 / ¥19,800

(I'm not sure what you need to buy off of the JP Vocaloid store, but you could easily save 30 USD on each of those by getting it off of the JP store instead of the EN store.)

Cool ! Also, does it work if you buy the starter packs directly from the original site for those that aren't fully or aren't partially YAMAHA's ? =o As in, let's say if I get a starter pack from Internet Co, is it eligible ?

I would hope so, since this is the first thought that came to mind. A lot of people would, like, go buy a Gumi starter pack and then maybe be like "oh having the Yamaha V6s would be nice!" or something, y'know?

It's me, "a lot of people." It's not a huge deal to have missed out on the Yamaha vocie

Edit: My comment got mangled when the connection was lost and I refreshed. I meant to say that it's not a big deal to have missed out on the Yamaha voices, but Haruka sounds kind of neat.

If you are talking about the separate V6 voicebanks, it's not a discount or anything special that needs a serial code or something, they are just listed for sale separate from the editor now. You could even buy them if you didn't own V6 at all. (idk why you would do that, but you could)
