seems like on the japanese internet co website, if you already own registered banks from their company, you can get a preferential pricing to the digital v of Gumi V7 for 8415 yens, which is around 53$/47€

Does that include a starter pack? That's how I got V6 last time: InternetCo had a good deal on the bundle of Gumi V6 and the Vocaloid 6 editor, which was significantly cheaper.

8415 yens is the loyalty pricing for Gumi V7 alone.
the loyalty pricing for her starter pack is 18,700 yens. (around 118$) instead of 21,250 yens (134$)

if you already own a previous version of vocaloid from V3 to V6, it feels more advantageous to buy the upgrade to V7 individually in november then buy Gumi V7 through the loyalty pricing. as it ends up as
39$ V7 + 53$ Gumi = 92$ V7 + Gumi
instead of 118$ for the loyalty pricing starter pack

i too realized something huge from this screenshot... look at the pitch lines. they seem so much more regular than the kind of output you get with v6's autopitch. this will SAVE v7.
that entirely depends on the deviation settings you set with V6. the V6 defaults were pretty high but if you tweaked the settings, you could get more regular pitch lines as long as the voicebank was properly trained. some voicebanks had better ones than others

Look at Asa's track name... "Cross"
wouldn't that imply V7 adds back cross synthesis for AI banks... and this time compatible across all banks including asa x gumi ?
that's still a guess but relative to the naming scheme of the tracks (Main, Harmo), Cross doesn't fit any standard musical convention aside from Cross synthesis
probably just alluding to Internet co's Xsyn plugin unfortunately...

That would require V7 to be used in the daw, it would not work standalone. Even more considering we can see this is a standalone project in this screenshot from the title bar. This is a named project, not a vst instance based on the daw project data. Unless V7 standalone adds vst effects support.

true! i still think it could hint towards some extra level of better autopitch or at least autopitch CONTROL, because i'd imagine that pitch line coming from standard out the box just loaded the project file, rather than with the extra effort of finetuning.
at least, this is what i'm HOPING for, because it's one of the biggest v6 complaints and would be an absolute godsend of a change for an entirely separate vocaloid iteration.

At the very least, the latest update of betterloid was designed to give more control on V6's autotune, so if they don't give more control officially on V7, i'll be able to at least port this system to v7 as well

I hope backers get V7 for free, even though I doubt it. Kinda crummy to back for a V6 bank and then have to throw another $40+ at V7 instead to use the bank. Although since this one is still ongoing, I guess they could cancel their support maybe? Not sure, never used campfire before

Since the focus on the Fan-ding banks are shifting to releasing them as V7 banks instead of V6, I don't see why they wouldn't just give backers the V7 editor instead of V6. The Rei crowdfund pushed out an announcement saying that everyone who backed the tiers that included the V6 editor will get a coupon for $40 off which essentially makes V7 free.

I felt a bit screwed over since Rei released just before the V7 announcement, but this way it works out fine haha.
