Revisiting the Dex and Daina fanclub I made a few years ago, and I'm proud of the dedication I tried to put into it. I want to update it again, maybe with a song of the week or smth so I'm not just sharing my own art lol
There's a whiteboard in the campus lounge, some people draw and write their handles for Instagram. So I drew Miku and added my Twitter as a shameless promo
So I ended up deactivating my current art account, I'm thinking on reposting the stuff I had on my Dex and Daina thread, just need to change the watermark
With all the changes going on with Twitter really has me worried for my art account.
I decided to start over in hopes to get known for stuff other than my fanart, but then I lost motivation to draw for a while. Now that I'm starting to draw again, I hear that my tweets might get suppressed!
What's worse is that in my new acc I don't have a lot of followers to interact with me. I'm considering just deleting that account and going back to Alien1Aia, fix it up a little. I don't know, it feels easier since I hit my niche there and can rebrand there. I don't know what to do...
I opened up the files on my phone and found a lot of vocaloid songs I downloaded a few years ago! After listening to some, I found it so wild how my music taste changed in just a short amount of time. It was also good since it revived some old favorites for me.
I told myself in the past that these posts are horrible, but I wanted to make this point. I really did try not to be too much of a downer like most of the ones I've seen there.
Today was my first day of school, but this time I'm actually in the school djfn
Since I couldn't begin my vocational course like most of the students the first semester, my schedule is full of classes I have left before I graduate. That said half of my classes I have with the seniors which feels a little different than I'm used to.
Since today's Leon and Lola's anniversary, I also wanna talk about one of the earliest landmarks in vocal synth "history" . I'm pretty sure some here will already know this but-
This year also is the 60th anniversary of when some computer programmers had an IBM 7094 sing "Daisy Bell." Both creepy and fascinating to many people, this really shows how far vocal synthesis has come in the past couple of decades.
While this may not exactly lead to the direct introduction of the vocal synths we know and love today (I still don't know), it can be inferred that the idea that a computer can sing definitely came from this event.
There are some covers of this song with some vocaloids, including this one from 7 years ago which I think is cute.
I think there should be more covers of this song with every vocal synth. Doesn't matter if it's VOCALOID, UTAU, Synth V---every synth should sing this.
I might repost this on Twitter later, I'm still debating if I should log back in though.
