very very happy to hear her she sounds SO good

however does anyone know the translation of this tweet being accurate from the auto translate?
"「Synthesizer V 2 AI 猫村いろは」は、歌手・声優「佳館杏ノ助」の声を元に制作した、表情豊かなアーティキュレーションを持つSynthesizer V 2専用歌声データベース。しなやかで突き抜けるようなハイトーンから、太くパワフルな中域、渋く響く中低域まで幅広くオールマイティです。 "
auto translate describes the voice provider as voice actress which is a shame and unsure if thats a translation issue or not

Loving all the samples. Iroha always had a deeper voice than you'd expect just from her design, but I think even more so now you can hear the androgynous vibe. It's cool, it's like a mix of Kyoumosuke as he sounds now and before. It's kind of rare! Like, on a personal note, some of my friends told me to record banks before I transitioned, but I didn't have a good mic at the time... my voice changed a lot, it would've been cool to have that "before" bank :)

My favourite is the Husky vocal mode. Pop mode is still the most similar sounding to how Iroha sounds in v4 and v2, I think... I agree that she sounds more androgynous which is something I quite like. Hard sounds like a completely different person and would actually make a great male vb I remember that v2 and v4 banks were surprisingly very good in the higher register. Tsubasa demo does go into the higher notes a bit, so I think she is very well rounded and faithful to the vocaloid banks. Of course I notice the quality upgrade and how realistic she is, but honestly? She was one of the few banks that already had that vibe and the main difference here is that her voice provider shines a lot more through the voice.

i don't know if this is an official demo but it sounds very nice

Oh, you were wondering about the gender, not if they were just an actress. I didn't know the voice provider was male as I don't really pay attention to that stuff, only what the voicebank sounds like. But as others have pointed out, Japanese words tend to be gender neutral.

correct translation is::iroha_rylitah:
"Synthesizer V2 AI Nekomura Iroha" is a singing voicebank for Synthesizer V2 with expressive articulation, created based on the voice of singer and voice actor "Kyounosuke Yoshitate".
yes, all (well, most of) japanese words are the same for male and female, so you really need a context to understand.:iroha_lili: In general, all japanese grammar is context-based, even the verbs and their action time, and sometimes if you can't express by the context, you need to put some extra words or suffixes. The auto translate often does big mistakes because of that, especially if the sentence is not short. In real usage, the context might be in fact in another sentence or two:meiko_lili:

Saw this post from the person who made the vocal mode sample video and thought I'd mention it here. They said that the kobushi (enka-style ornamentation) in the samples occurs automatically depending on the style and wasn't edited in (but can be removed). I know it's kind of common sense given the nature of an SV(2) bank, but hearing confirmation that the voicebank can do it makes me really happy. It makes me wonder if there's a specific vocal mode that features it the most... I can't really find any detailed descriptions of the vocal modes anywhere (I wonder if they'll talk about it on the livestream they're having on the 25th), but I did notice that in the comments of the video on Youtube someone put a time stamp talking about kobushi during the Pop sample (3:02), so maybe that one? They didn't seem sure it was kobushi, but it's the best lead I've found X'P (Though based on what little info I could find about kobushi, I could see maybe Dramatic or Power Pop too)
