Did anyone else catch the bits of lore at the start and end of the demo, where it implies Jovie works in a lab?

Actually wait good catch, I noticed too that in her design, she has a belt with what appears to be lab vials and a keycard attached to it. Now I'm hoping for more Jovie lore, I'm intrigued lol

Updating the OP with Tone Chroma's colours got me thinking again about what other hues could represent.

Red - Aggressive
Orange - ???
Yellow - Natural
Green - ???
Blue - Old-school
Indigo - ???
Violet - Classical
Pink - ???

My guesses are: green = electronic/experimental, pink = pop, indigo = dark/emo/alt, orange = rap/hip-hop

Of course, it's possible they have no intention of representing some of these colours, and may focus on filling up more options for their current categories - but it's fun to think about!

Based on the comments on her demo and the little I've seen around social media, I'm happy to see so many people excited for Jovie! I know the genres of music she's suit for aren't super popular within the vsynth scene so I wasn't sure how'd the reception to her would be.
I'm trying to cool it with buying v synths because I haven't been using them as much as I used to but....maybe....Jovie will end up on my bday wishlist...

Also, they did confirm plans to develop a feminine rock vocal in the future. But it was easy to miss since it was at the very bottom of the comment section under Remmant’s first showcase LOL. I hope there will be more androgynous voices though :)

While I doubt country fans want to hear songs entirely performed by a vocal synth

idk, you'd be surprised how well ai-generated (not saying it's the same) country music does. i think they would be more open to vocal synths than you might think.

That said, I'm not sure how much Eclipsed Sounds is really concerned with making every voicebank as profitable as possible. They've never been interested in playing it safe: pursuing nicher genres than country, championing diverse characters in the face of prejudice, producing large amounts of supplementary lore just-for-fun, and generally showing a passion-driven approach rather than a corporate one. It's clear their love of vocal synths is their primary driver. I think if they had a concept they were excited about, they'd release it regardless of metrics.

Can someone explain how shes holding the gun in her art I'm certain it makes sense I jsut cant figure it out in my head lol I'm stuck on telekinesis making it float for some reason

Honestly, I was thinking about it yesterday and suddenly imagined how would look like the characters tied to a disco/funk bank (well, at least for a feminine one, didn't draw yet my own interpretations of male and androgynous)

For the ladies, it'd be something like this, depending if the colour would be Orange (the disco lady on top left of the sheet) or Pink (the disco lady in the bottom right of the sheet)

it looks like a mid-action pose to me, where someone twirls a pistol around their finger, which iirc is done like that-- index finger near the trigger with an open hand
