  • It should be illegal for it to be less than 30 degrees in the morning.

I'm perfectly happy for it to be cold in the mornings, on one condition: I get to stay in bed or in my house, swaddled in blankets and enjoying the quiet.

If I have to be out in it? I'll make it EVERYONE'S problem.

Yeah, I have to go to work. So it's way worse for me.
I will never understand why these birds mercilessly ram into my window.

At my house, we just put up window clings that match the holiday/season and we haven't had a bird crash into the windows since. I don't think they understand that the glass is there so putting up the clings makes them know they can't fly through it.

Yeah, you're right. I may have to do that because sometimes they jus t divebomb it I swear. There's nothing even interesting about my window.
To those of you going to work. Stay safe. Keep those gloves close and wear that mask. Let's not lose any more lives.

Corona seems long forgotten over here, I haven't seen anyone wear a mask for a month or so (even during the peak only very rarely), and physical distancing etc. seems to be a thing of the past. But to be fair, the pandemic has pretty much died down here already. If you're in a place where the situation is worse, please take care and follow official instructions on health and safety.

@peaches2217: You're not a sheep/"living in fear." The mask was never really intended to protect you, anyway.

I come from the same country as peaches, and some of the stuff I've seen in recent weeks has horrified, disappointed, and disgusted me. An awful lot of people here are doing the right thing, but at the same time, there's a huge minority that are acting like, if they spread disease to other people, it's the victims' problem rather than theirs.

They're right, to some extent: if others get sick, it's a problem they'll have to solve. With the help of their physicians (assuming they can get them), their bodies, and whatever deity in which they believe.

But the fault, the culpability--if you can prevent someone from getting sick, and you don't make every effort to do so...that falls on you. Yes, if you don't wear a mask and social distance, if you don't do everything you can to protect the health of those around you, if you get sick and make others sick, it's YOUR fault. If they die, it's on you. If their relatives hurt because they die, it's on you. If they have to be hospitalized, if they lose their savings, if they lose their business, it's on you. If the infection spreads, and shutdowns are necessary, and people lose their livelihoods--it's on you.

It's time for people the world over--and most particularly in my country, it seems, because others seem to have done a much better job--to put on their big boy/girl pants and realize that, to some extent, the welfare of others is in fact their problem. Everyone has to do their part. Sticking your head in the sand and waiting for other people to make it all go away isn't good enough anymore. YOU have a part in this, and it's ON YOU.

    PUT THE D*MN MASK ON!!

Wasn't that the convention where the dude who ran it was a sex pest or something?
No problem with that. I got a job, and my first thought was about all the video games and pizza I could buy
