Decided to add some stuff to vocal synthesizer wiki since ive seen it around a bit and almost all the edits there were made by one person. I'm speechless
I've seen some dislike of voicebanks with younger character mascots sounding older than they look but honestly I kinda like it!! Especially with AI banks that Actually Sound like the vp
I know no one cares and nothing anyone does matters but when human VAs voice over vocaloid characters it never feels right to me. Like if it's another pre existing character a different voice actor can capture the similarities but hearing random female va number 409 voicing over an image of Miku is just wrong. Will anyone read this? Will anyone care, or will they interpret it as me insulting voice actors ? I'm going to bed
There was Caligula Effect 2 erasing any mention of Vocaloid producers being in the game on their english site and then it's Animal Crossing changing "KK Loid" to "KK Robot Synth". Whats with companies assuming English speakers dont know what vocaloid is?
Using that dlsite coupon to buy full synthv voices is really tempting but they also have Kiyoteru rock who's one of my dream banks and one i'll probably use more...
i think those people on youtube who make synth vs sound so good have the FULL vbs because I have no idea how to make the lite vbs sound like theyre not singing into a fan
Calling all vocal synth characters "Voicebanks" is a trend I've been seeing multiple places lately. I don't think anything of it other than that im so used to people treating the voice and the character as separate entities I felt the need to point it out
