  • Before i send my old audio interface to someone else, i do some tear down and cleaning as final goodbye, as i do some probing with oscilloscope, the thing that surprise me about old converter (in this case is Steinberg UR22) it's pretty clean even maximum sampling rate at 216kHz, the pre amp is a little noisy, still performing perfectly considering how old it is (Jan 2013). The unit itself say capable 192kHz but the chip itself have some Sampling "headroom" up to 216kHz. So, i think most interface people have these day is more than good enough, so you have nothing to worry about.
Addictive Keys: Mark One is on sales at the moment.
Sound great that make me float everytime i play.

    Solo guitar arrangement is beautiful..
I already made vocaloid cover so i might made a piano arrangement again... this song mean a lot.
Thing will come and go and never ever comeback.

I forgot about international cat day.
The real cat day is actually happen when you decided to adopt a cat and... that's it...

For a cat owner...every day is a cat day.
Aw... i though no one cover this song.

One of the most popular song in karaoke store, you can see this song on both Joysound and DAM machine (obviously).
This is not a sad song though more like a warm and cozy feeling, I do a cover with piano back then and it's completely different feeling...
    VSQ file is available.

Re-visit old project file that i made a year ago, i made it poorly so i refine this new one and made it different.

There is some parameters i use such as portamento timing, Opening, clearness, brightness and velocity, i'm going to explain how it work.

Portamento timing is... self explanatory: they control the timing of the pitch changing between note, faster or slower(lag) than default(64)
Opening: is control the mouth opening the default value is max(127) singing with clear tone, a lower value create an less distinct tone, good combination with Accent param*
Clearness: is more like a white noise, give some brittle sound.. very eardrums torture if push too high, a little amount with low brightness can create an fragile voice
Breathness: i don't really use it but it give some air to every word in a very small amount
Brightness: this is interesting, and very useful it can use as volume control and tension control, high value make it loud and in your face sound, lower value make muffled sound and feel mellow-ish laid back voice, work great as overall volume control.
The more i use it the more i like it, this is what (most of the time) i looking for.

Very present to use. Simply create melody, input lyrics, add some vibrato and the end, done. No need for fancy phoneme editing, don't have to zoom to microscopic level to re-adjust the lengh of the note transition. Maybe add some manual pitch riding, gender and you got this.

Obviously it's depend on vbs but there is a plenty of a good vb out here.
My friend and I talked about "AI". The topic wasn't just about vocal synthesis. But the whole concept of AI.

What I can currently see already in the market is the ermergence of some clever mixing tools aiming to solve very specific mixing tasks or vocal synths software who claim that is capable of self-tuning perfectly? Tools like that might be based on deep learning or other smart and sophisticated algorithms. There is no such common/strict “AI” definition and I see an increasing use of the “AI” badge even only for the marketing claim to be superior. (1/2)

Some other markets are ahead in this area, so it might be a good idea to just look into them. For example, AI applications in the digital photography domain are already ranging from smart assistance during taking a photo itself up to complete automated post processing. or AI vocal synth like NEUTRINO that can self-generate pitch variation, singing style and habits, also can be rendered by just smart phone.

Such technology not only shapes the production itself but a market and business as a whole... also the way how we work. (2/2)

Also, thank to mofu doggu and Seisō for advertising my videos!
Create futuristic string ens sound using vital synth basic.

Sound quite similar to the PWM String AT patch. You can find it on almost all yamaha workstation synthesizer e.g Motif XS/XF/Montage.

It's great to use vital synth with midi controller like Akai mpk mini. The vital synth love midi mapping.

Hi, I use 24 voices with primitive saw wave for osc 1 and 2, for osc 3 i use self made wavetable, all of 3 osc using LFO link to unison detune for small amount. But core of the sound is the sample i took from my motif rack xs, they have some brass and double bass element in the sample.
Effect, lfo and matrix mapping is the main part of my sound design, especially chorus, reverb, delay that make it sound lush and expensive.

For the live performance, i set velocity sensitivity to 100% (vel trk) and re-adjust envelope (2 in my case) to gently treat the filter 1 for simulate bowed string motion.

Ah, interesting. I'll definitely have to play with the wavetables and sample source more in the future.

So the LFO is modifying the unison detune? I'd never thought to try putting it on that.

Yes, also using LFO for control the filter is also great for sound design too, it's depend what the end result you looking for.
The goal is try to make sound less static that's what make it achieve huge sound. not the effect
I have some question about vocadb website, i see some of my info in this site, is it safe? since i never have an account on vocadb.
Is it work like vocaloid wiki?. Although, we do have our own wiki, it's call "Miku Hatsune wiki"(初音ミク Wiki) but i'm not so sure about vocadb.

    If it legit, that fine.

    Hi @IO+!

Yes, VocaDB is safe! It is similar to 初音ミク Wiki. It is a database for Vocaloid and vocal synthesizer songs.

You may see more Western songs on the VocaDB site. You may also create an account and make edits, and verify your account as well.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

    Hello! Razel!

Thank for clarifying my question! Glad to hear that!
I wanted to share my most used preset of the plug-in call TDR Kotelnikov, though i use GE (paid) version but it should work perfectly fine with free version.
You can see download link in resources thread: My recommendation Plug-in

    About the plugin
TDR Kotelnikov is a program dependent mixbus compressor that using feed-forward compressor topology although, It has some similar "feel" with feed-back compressors because they have actual release times depended on input signal.

    About preset for plugin
I named this preset Auto RMS P3S. This preset inspired by the auto RMS mode of P3S ME compressor, fast attack, fast release but smooth reaction.
You can name whatever you want.

    How to use it?
On a full mix, although it can be used on other material as well. For quick set & forget compression.

    How much compression?
Likely less than 2 dB of GR on peaks. Always tweak Threshold. For harder compression: Increase the ratio.

    FAQ
It's react too much to my kick drum, low-end what should i do?
Increase low freq detection, increase low freq relax to 12 dB or more.

I want more reaction to low-end what should i do?
Decrease low freq relax to 3 dB/ oct or set to flat.

    How to copy this preset?
You can simply copy this code and paste on the plugin by right-click the plugin ui and click paste state.
    <TDRKotelnikovGE thresholdParam="-19.0" peakCrestParam="15.0" softKneeParam="1.5" maxGRParam="2.0" maxGROnParam="Off" ratioParam="1.3" attackParam="1.00" releasePeakParam="10" releaseRMSParam="20" inertiaParam="Off" makeUpParam="0.0" dryMixParam="off" dryWetParam="0.0" dryMixModeParam="Dry Mix" outGainParam="0.0" keyHPFrequencyParam="74" keyHPSlopeParam="6.0" keyStereoDiffParam="55" keyStereoLinkParam="Advanced" keyStereoBalanceParam="Center" fdrVisibleParam="Off" fdrActiveParam="Off" fdrTypeParam="Bell A" fdrFrequencyParam="1000" fdrAmountParam="0" yingParam="Off" yangParam="Off" deltaParam="Off" bypassParam="Off" equalLoudParam="Off" qualityParam="Insane" modeParam="Stereo" grDispScaleParam="0" grDispModeParam="Gain Reduction" sidechainModeParam="INT SC"/>

It has served me well for so long, I hope it will do the same to you.
