A new tweet with the starter pack preorder link has a small snippet of her new design.
What we can see looks cute! I wonder how long it'll take to get used to short haired IA, and also if it'll be different enough to not mix up her and ONE at a glance lol
I saw someone suggest they'll do a longhaired redesign for ONE - I think that would be a fun switch-up.
Nice though I was wondering... Duo package would mean the return of IA x IA ROCKS pack ?
Also for the lolz, since the silhouetto was released (and before I felt she'd be really short-haired lik her friend Yukari -hence why I said she'd fit well with Yukari Rei from Cevio
) Here's a random sketch session involving how she would have been if they completely stuck to her V3 designs, a "lolz if they changed her style and image again how it'd look like" and then "how I imagine she's behind the silhouetto"

IA's design has finally been revealed!
Looks like they switched her volume around from the top to the bottom lol. I'm not sure what to think of it just yet, but it's not a complete departure from her V3 and Rocks designs, at least.

Actually? They ate with her outfit. I'm of the opinion that all designs are canon and relevant (for example, Flower has plenty and I think that's a plus for her character) so if anyone wanted to picture her with long hair, they're still free to do so of course! And it's fun to see what they'll do with ONE. Also, I like how I never saw ONE and IA so strongly as a pair as Rin and Len, or Hime and Mikoto... until now. I hope they bring ONE over to Vocaloid to make things symmetrical, now that CeVIO has enough characters to make up for it.
I actually love IA's new design so much. She's really pretty and unique
seeing a lot of people hate on the shorter hair, and i do think it's a big change, but acting as if ia having generally long hair is an iconic feature on the level of teto's drills or miku's twintails (like i've seen some ppl outside of here imply)... i don't know if i get that sentiment kehfkhsdfsg
I like the top half of the design! I have nothing kind to say about the bottom half. But IA has had a LOT of outfits (not just for her voicebank releases) and many of them are... choices... and this is better, so I'll take it 
honestly i really like the design, i do see why people are sad about losing the long hair but she has such distinct bangs that i think the hair still says IA without being long.
side note, i went to anime expo last year and saw a random booth that had a TON of old ia merch they were selling for super cheap and i was really surprised to find it and now i feel like i invested since shes getting a v6 dropped LOL. not to say she ever like fell off or anything but this was merch from like the early 2010s and they had a huge surplus and i was like huh weird, they must have found this in some warehouse and was like 'we gotta get rid of it",,,, anyway. Now IA's back baby and i have 20 keychains to celebrate

I like her design a lot! While I prefer her with the original long hairstyle, there is a lot going on with this new design, and is clearly made to differentiate it from the past voicebanks, so as soon as you see her with short mid hairstyle, you know is Vocaloid 6. That's really good!
(And I think is a matter of days we'll see on pixiv some nice fanarts of IA long hair wearing the new outfit)
The outfit is a good mix of street style (almost punk) and kind of galaxy travel, and the open sleeves give a sense of freedom. Love it!

This is a really interesting approach for a new design: keeping the colours and design language the same but remixing virtually every individual element makes her look very different but still distinctly IA. It feels like the IA equivalent of Beta Miku, despite being new.
However, I do think overall the execution of this design is messier than her first look, with shapes that feel less balanced and cohesive. That said, I much prefer this direction to her Rocks/CeVIO redesigns! It's a cool alternative.

On further thought, I do think the V6 design is very much a 'Marmite' one - you'll either vibe with it or despise it. I agree that the top half of IA is fine (and is basically a remix of her previous designs), but the bottom is very much "WHAT ARE THOSE?". 
The short hair doesn't help either - I think if her hair had stayed long (or was just cut to the top of her back), it would feel less like a huge departure.

The haircut is super cute and she immediately reads as IA when you look at the image. It's nice to not just have another "same character, slightly different outfit" for a new engine release.
I will miss the era of v3 ia where her new design was she took off a layer lol but this new design is actually really cute tbh
I don't like the outfit at all here. That loose hanging thing from the choker is annoying me so much...eh.
Welp, confirms me that I still miss to find the design behind the silhouetto (so no Dancing Queen outfit for Miss IA) and while the shorter haircut puzzles me (lol) it still ftis her and it confirms me too she and Yukari Rei would defintively team up as they're sharing the short cut/outfit overhaul and as they've been pictured friends since, it does emphasize on it
