Below is a short clip.

The first obvious chirp/squeak occurs just before the 1.4 second mark. A second example happens at 4.4 seconds.
not saying youre lying, but i guess maybe my ears just cant pick up that frequency LOL... if its happening even more than just those times you point out too, its just not coming to my ears it seems. theres some issues with some of her consonants i hear issues with, if its sounds during those that youre identifying? maybe im just not thinking of them as "chirps" or squeaks in the same way? idk!

It shows up on a spectrogram as a sudden leap from ~3200 Hz to ~3400 Hz.

Here's a very (very) short extract from the previous clip, in which a chirp/squeak is heard at slightly before halfway. If you put it on repeat, the unwanted sound should become apparent.

Manual mode is coming back !
I'm not really a tuner-type person, but I did prefer using the manual mode, so I'm happy to hear this.

As for how a non-tuner like myself used the manual mode: I'd first select the generate performance feature (or whatever it was called) with the vibrato sliders turned down to their absolute lowest setting, then manually add vibrato where needed. This resulted in much smoother vibratos than the "AI" generated vibrato, which was (and is) kinda jagged and nasty.

this is nice, i havent minded the use of rigid style + no vibrato to make a "base" again, but my tuning style before heavily relied on how manual mode worked

basically i'd kinda go switch to whatever voice's auto pitch mode i liked most (like say, Rose) and turn it to manual so it generated them in the pitch parameter window. then id go swap to whatever voice i intented to use, and then edit pitch bends from there. but i cant do that now! the lack of converting the pitch bends through that "manual" mode is a bit annoying as much as i like the ways we can edit nodes now too.

tbf with no manual mode there was also no way to control vibrato rate, amplitude etc. only the fade in and fade out. On voicebanks like the std banks, it meant they were stuck with default vibrato unless we hand drew the vibrato which was very inconvenient

I don't share your confidence considering the amount of SynthV voicebanks that sound like sandpaper.
I get your issue, but is the snark necessary?

Maybe try boosting the problem frequency with EQ so people can hear what you’re talking about, or show a spectral view of the audio.

Reporting it to dreamtonics is still worthwhile.

^^ I did download the sound and try to hear it, I'm afraid I also can't catch it. Your ears are impressive... A spectral view would probably be real solid proof if you do want to send it to DT though! I'd also be interested in seeing it :0

No snark was intended. It's simply a reality that most SynthV AI voicebanks have had a sandpaper-like audio quality since day one, even with SVS1. Some are better than others, which makes me think it's not an engine issue, but a source recording issue. Teto, for example, is noticeably smoother in sound, as is Asterian.

And the point of posting here first was to get corroboration before I waste Dreamtonics' time. But since I'm the only person hearing it, I can assume it's not going to be an issue worth their while.

its always worth their time, theyre a company that should be making a good product and one that you want to use. so really, id suggest doing it. many of us in this thread have sent in reports and get responses, no matter how small or large. sure, the worst you can get is them saying they dont know what the issue is, but only a few minutes to fill something out in hopes they see it, vs never seeing it at all? why not! send a report here

Not being able to use other banks pitch models is a problem for me too, so I'm hoping whatever they do fixes that.

@parallax_fifths FWIW I can hear the squeak. I don't think I've personally encountered this in the software so far so not sure about reproducibility but I concur that this is a problem and that it would be worth a bug report.
