Her voice is incredible! I'm sold.

I'm very pleased with how her voice has translated to AI, it's elevated it in every conceivable way, while still staying faithful to her Vocaloid voicebank's tone. It's like we got Uni in 4k ddddd.

I will admit, I always had a bit of a bone to pick with the Korean language in Vocaloid. The pronunciation sounded so stilted (especially in SeeU's case) which made me a little put off using them without vowel editing or splicing, so it's a relief to hear just how great SynthV has done when it comes to Korean! And with how Korean covers so many vowel/consonant sounds I have no doubt her XLS will sound a lot better than most.

UNI SV2 demo!

I think she sounds great. I can't speak to the accuracy of SV Korean, but I think it sounds pretty smooth. None of that like, stuttering awkwardness of forcing an editor to imitate a language it doesn't know, which is as good a sign as I could look for 😂
Oh my God her voice is really really beautiful. I stopped breathing for a while and repeatedly listening to the demo over and over again.

Lili beat me on the demo! Here is the info on the site about her physical stuff

There seems to be some uncertainty about whether she will get a DVD box release, so I guess the current package that includes the voice would just come with a serial code for a digital download. It's understandable, but still a bummer

For reference, 465k won is about 320 USD, 165k won is about 110 USD. Or about 296 and 105 Euros I think

Editing to add this tweet about the physical VB

I haven't mentioned my thoughts on Uni's voice yet, because it's kind of hard to put into words. She's lovely: effortlessly charming and joyful. She captures the sweet tone of her Vocaloid and elevates it dramatically, bringing so much character and emotion into clarity. I hope they can find a price that works for everyone, and that she's as successful as she deserves to be.

English demo!

There is a noticeable accent, but I can't say if it's because she's the firsr Korean native crosslang, or if it's what people were talking about with SV2 having thicker accents, or a mix. I wouldn't call it unpleasant or hard to understand, though! And of course she sounds gorgeous as always

It's partly the tuning. I mentioned it on the video comments but they're inputting lyrics incorrectly (for example, they put "sha" and "dows" instead of "shadows" and "+").

Hah, well, that won't help! Good eye, I didn't notice that. I do also figure that, naturally, people will figure things out once they get ahold of the actual bank

I'm trying to decide how I feel about this art vs her Vocaloid art. It's super cute and I think it's almost got a bit of a sporty vibe to it -- like it's something I could see a movie character wearing for tennis, sans the boots. But I also really liked the Vocaloid one, so maybe they're kind of on even ground.

Coming from a nice design and a really well done piece of art (imo, I love her old boxart), I was afraid the SV design could only end up being a letdown, so I am okay with this!

Woaaaaaah !!! She looks as wonderful as she sounds on SynthV !! Also yeah, I do agree it gives her either an athletic or a cheerleader vibe ❤

I am also happy they remained pretty faithful to her Vocaloid design because I already fonud it both elegant and cute, classic and mature all at once

Congratulations UNI 💖

Re: the design

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well, they certainly made her look slightly younger and gave her bigger boobs, a similar age regression to Gumi SynthV. I still miss her blue/yellow accents and the stronger technological/music themes of her old design - there's not much to distinguish this one from your average cheerleader Halloween costume, or IA CeVIO. Her new expression also makes her look slightly nervous, which further minimises her slay (my pet peeve character design trope is "we'll give her a skimpy outfit because we want her to look sexy, but we'll make her look uncomfortable/clueless so you know she's not a SLUT" /s). Could be worse, but it feels a lot less cohesive and interesting than....

It's not terrible, but in my opinion it's a step down after the excellent anniversary look she got.
