i usually do just throw it out sorry </3
unless someone around me is there to finish the poptart for me. most people ive met dont like the crust and only like the center, so it usually works out pretty nice.
dont fear though, it's not like this is a regular occurrence LOL. i very rarely eat poptarts.
then i guess my issue with your opinion is the fact that you waste it LOL
in that case id have to imagine there are much better thinsg your could eat to fufill that vibe while not wasting poptarts

Hey, as long as it’s not a regular thing, I say indulge to your heart’s content! I wish they made a crust-only version of PopTarts, honestly… I prefer the icing and filling, but the crust is still so good.
I really hate cinnamon. So much.
Not only I'm severely allergic to it, it doesn't even taste that great...
I feel the same way about Cinnamon that the judges in Chopped feel about truffle oil: used well, it’s lovely, but it’s rarely used well. So I half-agree and fully-support this.

i eagerly await the day for a crust-only poptart :rikka_lili: :koharurikka_lili:
finally though, someone else who appreciates the crust :clara_ani_lili: mostly everyone i know won't eat the crust. thats the best part! on some occasions i will eat the center but i always think "man i wish this was just bread"
however, sometimes im eating sandwiches and go "man i wish this was just bread" so apparently i just wish everything was just bread

Gotta say that Minecraft is...really overrated. I see it everywhere, and the game just seems really bloated at this point where its hard to learn anything

Also, anyone else like stale popcorn?
One time years and years ago, I took a bowl of popcorn with me while my dad, stepmom, and I went paddleboating on my grandparent's lake. It was... I dunno, late October, early November? I didn't eat the popcorn until we were done, and it was slightly stale and cold, and to this day I still salivate whenever I think of it.

I've been thinking about this for awhile and I want to get this one out of my chest:

I despise deaths in movies, games, tv shows.... anything really, especially when they make you feel so invested into the character's personality and such. It feels like an ass move from the writer imo. They make you love a characters to bits, and then immediately kill them off for plot convenience. Obviously, they want you to have feefees, but no, It's an awful trope. It doesn't make your story good. Maybe it's because I hate the concept of death in general, and maybe this is probably just a personal thing...

MY GOD—thank you!! It honestly feels like such a dumb move and cheap way to write off a character. Like, couldn’t you think of a better way to do write them off? Really overrated, tbh. There’s better ways to add angst and drama.

There's way too many times where I think "This person shouldn't have died...". Not only because I really like a character, but because its unneeded and unnecessary and it's obviously cheap writing to force your audience to have emotions for something.
I remember watching Princess and the Frog when I was little, and when that little firefly dude died, I just felt devastated and depressed. Honestly, there was no reason for him to even die in the first place... It didn't even change anything in the story. Again, only for the feefees and nothing else. Terrible writing...

I am trying to write something with my OCs(after all these years, it's still in its earliest stages lol), but I can't even get myself to even write off a character like that. I just can't. It feels cheap and awful. I just never liked that trope. If I were to kill off a character, it had to be a very good reason.

you know this was something i didnt think too hard about at first- because my initial thought was "well, i dont dislike death in media" but i realize i dont even really watch the kinda media that kills characters off constantly (i am, admittedly, very picky so i dont feel i run into media that would do it poorly anyways). and your post did make me realize that the few movies (mainstream, generally) i have watched that issues with death like that. Either the character means nothing, so their death is pointless and has no impact or the character does mean something but their death cut's their screentime short for no reason other than instant angst for people who dont think any harder about character death than death = sad.

death certainly has its place in certain kinds of media imo. not everyone is going to like that but i do think it can have its place. however i do find that mainstream media has a problem with killing off characters for no good reason (looking at you, popular superheros franchises that im not into but cannot avoid whenever they kill off some guy for no reason).

On the topic of death, something that’s been on my mind (though a little off-topic, forgive me): the Hobbit movies are good, and this is a hill I’ll die on. Thorin’s death scene is honestly one of the most emotional and well-acted deaths I’ve seen in media thus far. Richard Armitage and Martin Freeman deserved an award for that scene alone.

(Also, shoutout to the guy sitting behind me in the theater that groaned “Come ON, I just started shipping them!” during it. Same, my dude, same.)

To be honest I feel the same like
Han solo and especially Luke Skywalker aaaaaah and there are other some examples of it in various media
or also the variant "you love this character ? What about something very horrid happens to them or they nearly die/get killed " ? (Recently I experienced it with a character in mobile game Criminal Case where I've done last month the case where he gets poisoned by the killer to try derailing your character and yeeeeeah kinda didn't like it much xqx"' )

And same, I'm kinda touchy with death.... Like sure it's part of the life's game and fiction but considering there have been loads of deaths in my family and so on (plus tonight isn't really the moment where I want to see a death mention) yeah.... And yet I'm usually into thriller, detective novels, adventure kind of stuffs too but sometimes it leaves a bitter taste in it (and as Blue said yeah it can be used as a simple mean, but ironically I like "fake deaths" where you think or the baddy thinks the hero is dead so they can strike back later and kick their arses later, or sometimes the baddy kicking back into the game -though i Like it less than the first example)

Alright it doesn't need to be sugary level of pure glucose with everyone being happy and nothing happens, but sometimers it's best to have time where you can justly escape bad things with positive things for some minutes

A character's death should be a turning point in the narrative. It shouldn't be used as a lazy way to raise the stakes or a half-assed way of creating drama.

Also, knocking off characters left and right just makes the audience feel uninvested in getting to know any of your characters. It also doesn't make something/someone seem threatening just because it/they kill a bunch of people.

Side note: Never bring a character back from the dead. As soon as you do all tension is lost. We're not longer worried that one of your characters is going to die, because you've now shown that there's always a way to undo it. Without any kind of finality, death loses it's sting. You can show your character in any number of perilous situations and we don't believe for a moment that the character is in any real danger.

(Only bring a character back from the dead if their resurrection is a main plot point that a large part of the story is centered around.)
