The new name is nice! Better safe than sorry, and there hasn't been enough content created that it'll cause a problem.

Solaris...wait, Solaria?! Has also reached 100% on Indiegogo! It doesn't feel like long ago we were holding out hope that she might get close enough for the team to make up the rest, now they have succeeded their goal by a significant margin. :chika_ani_lili:

Link to the third livestream

  • Recording the AI data starts tomorrow.

  • Samples won't be available for quite some time.

  • Two more producers have been signed on: Meltberry and FlangerMoose! There may be more demos if they have funds.

  • Eclipsed Sounds approached Dreamtonics during the trial period of Gen 1 Synthesizer V - she might have been a Gen 1 vocal if conceptualised a few months earlier.

  • SOLARIA will cost around $100 at launch.

  • They want to continue promoting SOLARIA after her release.

  • You can still submit money via Paypal for the next week - specifically for leftover rewards.

  • Their tip for commercial synth developers: Don't announce until you've signed a contract!

  • Working on UTAU helped them understand the basics of vocal synth creation and prepared them for SOLARIA.

  • Although SOLARIA is designed for English, they plan on providing as much support as they can for other languages - e.g. with dictionaries.

  • They plan to update SOLARIA as much as they can.

  • They want to reach out to non-English songwriters in future.

  • There will be no more demos featuring her standard voicebank, to avoid confusion.

  • Circus wants to make a bardcore song for SOLARIA.

  • They hope to commission promotional songs post-release.

  • The winner of the illustration contest is Nixie Blue! There will be another contest soon, with the theme of 'Eclipsed SOLARIA'. The prize is a one-of-a-kind physical featuring the winning design.

  • Her physical will have a little booklet!

I like the name change! Even if its small, it sounds a little more graceful and pretty. :prima_ani_lili:
(I still wish I backed it tho...Having a physical copy would be sick)

Check it out Here!

Thank you everyone for the continued support of SOLARIA!

Would it be possible to post the ref sheet on twitter or such:) ? indiegogo has tendency to compress the pictures and some details are hard to make out, thank you!

boy, how the months fly by... cant believe we're at the point of hearing a demo now! while im a little unsure of the audio quality (cant tell if that's twitter's fault?) im really loving the power in her voice, thats something i have been wanting to see acheived better in AI banks and it sounds like Solaria really hits the mark, at least compared to others at the moment

It's awesome to have a powerful AI English bank! She'll expand what people can do with SynthV significantly, and compliment the banks specialising in soft performances. More than any other English vocal synth, Solaria is a product of the fandom's efforts, so it's great to see her come together successfully.

*edit*

She's definitely a vocal that excels in the high range. Emma Rowley herself describes her voice as high pitched, so I hope people take advantage of this strength. My one concern is that the fandom often conflates 'mature' with 'deep'; but a voice sounding obviously like an adult isn't automatically an alto, or suitable for that style of singing. I think voices that excel in low ranges are the last big gap Synth V English has left to fill, so I hope Solaria gets a friend with a deep voice soon!
