    i wanted to calculate how many vocsynth covers i have done and based off my soundcloud accounts+new youtube (as most of my main YT covers were ones already on SC) and accounting for a number of unposted ones... it seems i have likely made 400~ voc synth covers at least lol

    if we were to simply look at the number of folders in my vocsynth folder-- i have them seperated as japanese. english, spanish etc voices-- then we would have 2000 folders and generally, every folder is a ust/vsq i downloaded. lets half it, because sometimes there is a cache folder. so thatd still be 1000 potential covers lol. meaning that at least 40% of those downloads have been realized as actual covers (but its a tad more bc i have a number of finished covers i never posted)

    man, whoever is running the crunchyroll miku expo stuff was doing it horrible. it was supposed to be 8am pst, but then wake up and it was 7am but also, it wasnt. they then said it was 12pm. and then finally say it is 10am. luckily i was up so i knew, but wtf. they deleted their posts multiple times when ppl had asked for clarification. i think they reposted 3 times. that is to say the tickets were bought so fast on presale i didnt get any and resale costs i know will be insane. its ok, i saw miku expo in the past. and honestly the poor management has left me sour this year. id much rather see miku next by making plans for magical mirai

    actually quite annoyed to find the LA announcement today for miku expo... the tickets were SO expensive for san jose, so much more than before, and everything abt it for me was getting stressful-- having unsure plans about how to get there, and having to stay overnight, and if things went wrong id have to fly (even more expensive. and i only live in socal so it felt so wasteful). since i have seen miku before its not like i needed to, but i had some friends going for the first time so it would have been cool to see them. even if i dont get LA ones i will cancel san jose anyways, as nice as it would be to go to the first live show again after so many years.

    you know it would be nice if synth v would say "do you want to save before exiting" when you click close and havent saved yet. instead its just "discard" or "cancel". do you know how many times i almost hit discard

    i feel like i gotta reiterate sometimes... i still love vocaloid 4 and older voices. like, AI voices are incredible with how great they sound. but old ones have their charm. theyre still their whole own thing. i love v4 flower, i love fukase, i love lola, i love kaai yuki, i love sweet ann, i love dex... i dont wanna forget how much i love every generation!

    theres some things synth v does with words that i find kind of annoying and prefer in vocaloid, but at the same time... some of what vocaloid does i like but want *slightly* tweaked. for example i do like sometimes how synth v does [enter multi syllable word] add [+] to continue it, because it does make it easier to change the source word and add [-] where you need. but also i liked the ease of vocaloid's choice of just splitting it up immediately lol. i can admit, im lazy and dont always like having to put the + myself! but there are obvious drawbacks from vocaloid's method too, probably more that make me say synth v feels better anyways

    also some of synth v's automatic phoneme choices also make no sense to me, esp annoying is "and" coming out as [ax n dx] which pretty much always sounds like "uhnd". i always have to make it [ae n dx]. that one always pisses me off.

    i know i really fell out of recording a new utau to release... it hasnt been my immediate thought. but i want to try and record a new vcv especially because i want to compare it to my voice pre-T! its been over 2 years, almost 3, since i started. so i think my voice is stable enough to give a good comparison.

    i plan to get gumi sv at some point simply bc i have never owned her in english in some form and id like to have that ability but, plan to wait a bit to see how she may update (if at all). in the mean time i have just gotten rose- i had little intent to hold back on her lol. she is a voice type i have been dying for and i look forward to using her
