    Things are okay right now I think... on the synth side, I've got a few covers in the works, we might be getting a new Japanese SynthV vocal, and Cangqiong ran into a roadblock but is due to arrive within the next week or two. On the personal side, I'm becoming better accustomed to the leg and foot pains, work's going super well (I was named Employee of the Week today!), and when I get stressed or upset or just generally sad, Patuk regrounds me and helps me cheer up.

    Since this community is a big part of my identity, I'm working to integrate myself into it again... and God, for having been gone for a whole-ass week, I sure do sound dramatic about it :clara_ani_lili: On my end it's been going on for a lot longer, though. I guess everyone's been on-edge for a variety of reasons and it finally got to me. I really do hope everyone's doing okay.

    Things have been pretty good on my end, although I’m currently avoiding most social media like the plague until things irl calm back down, haha! Some pretty good things have happened recently to me recently, though, and I’m pretty happy about that.

    But… what I’m even happier about is hearing that you’re back and there are more Peaches covers in the works!! I know I said this on your last status, but I’m gonna say it again: your cover of “I’m Sorry I’m not Honest” is my jam, so I can’t wait to see what you cover next!!! :akasakiminato_lili::mirai_ani_lili:

    I'm honestly happy people (at least here, from what I've seen) aren't ripping Miku NT to shreds... I know she's got a lot of issues, as does Piapro itself, but it's still refreshing, especially since the fandom seems so on-edge right now. Speaking as objectively as I can, I think a lot of the problems she has can be fixed, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she improves during the testing period!

    Now to just... get a laptop I can use her on. Mercifully, that objective doesn't seem too far away now.

    I'm just following the Crypton thread and seeing what everyone is thinking about Piapro while they tinker with the prototype. So far, I do like how Miku NT sounds (for a product that hasn't been finished yet, she sounds smooth and nice, but I have heard about the phoneme problems), but she still has a way to go before she sounds like a finished VB.

    I'm glad Crypton decided to do a beta phase now, because it means they can listen to the fandom and continue to fix up both Miku NT and Piapro before their official releases. (Imagine if Yamaha did a beta phase for V5 - I think that might have avoided some of the complaints people have with V5).

    How's everyone doing? I've been thinking and kicking it around a bit... I might go on hiatus. I've taken a break from VVN for the past three days or so hoping it would help, but it didn't; I logged back in thinking it'd make me happy, but that didn't work either. I'm not needed, so I don't wanna make things worse by sticking around. I dunno.

    the way you're feeling is completely understandable, and if you're not feeling up to anything it might be healthy to take a break for a little bit, don't push yourself!! even though i've only been here a little over 3 months, VVN's gonna feel so odd without you..? and you are SO definitely needed here!!!     Ah, truth be told, I'm a little overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. I love you guys so much!! I think I'm going to lurk for a few days and then try actually getting back on. I just... things are stressful, and happiness is hard to come by right now, but I love this place and the people in it too much to leave for long. Thank you guys so much!!

    Speaking of DeepVocal... is there any way to change their names within the editor, like in Utau? I've got so many with names like "____.beta.0.85.dv" and a bunch of Chinese vocals that I have trouble telling apart, and they don't have Character files like Utau banks do.

    Well, that coulda been worse. The first five hours of my shift were great! Then we had to shut down the registers due to our renovations (the renovations have already been making customers antsy, but this was UnFoRgIvAbLe), and I got stuck back in Copy and Print, having to do both checkouts and taking orders for print jobs (in spite of having a collective total of two hours of training back there, when I need around 30 to be qualified to do so without heavy assistance).

    Retail's metal as hell, y'all. I always knew that, but I'm gonna have to toughen up if I wanna survive.

    I’m working my first 9-5 tomorrow! Pray for my feet. I’m gradually getting used to being in a constant state of pain from the knees-down, but it’ll be a while before I’m fully there.

    I actually wasn’t expecting to get more than five hours a shift until I finished my training, and I found out today why I’m getting more hours: the guy I got hired alongside was fired. Called out one day, just straight-up didn’t show the next, and came into the next shift half an hour late. So! Now I get his duties as well.

    Would it be irresponsible to open a credit card for the sake of making payments on a Switch? I got one through Best Buy to make payments on my laptop, but Best Buy's completely out of their Switches. My first paycheck's gonna be enough to buy one upfront, but my mom also expects 3/5ths of all my paychecks to go to her in return for my car and the privileges of living with her rent-free for the past year, so if I buy a Switch outside of a payment plan she's gonna be pissed... I didn't even tell her about my financial aid return because I just wanted to buy my own shit for a little bit, and I've had to cut back because my dad warned me she's suspicious as to how I can afford food.

    I guess I could ask her about it? She might be open to the thought at least, especially if it means I give her more money.
