In Eclipsed Sound's newest newsletter they mentioned that they were working on a new female vocalist who's "genres of specialty will be new to the world of vocal synthesizers". I wonder what that means? They also implied that her color is yellow with some yellow text in the letter, so my bet's on her genre being Country or Disco <-- delusional.

country feels right, but a one can dream. disco is sorta the family of retro/dance/eurobeat and i could absolutely see it finding a niche in the vocal synth community, especially in the wake of deco's new song lol.

Wait, they did? This is the first time I'm hearing of anything like that. Where did they say that? Not that I don't believe you, just that I want to know if I either missed an announcement or I'm missing an info source.

itd be interesting to me if they never considered country, as right now i see pop country as being an incredibly popular genre especially (and sadly) as a genre people have been producing with AI. though ill be real i wouldnt care much to hear a more pop adjacent country voice.... now, an old timey folk or americana voice? thatd be neat, especially alongside a voice like Remmant

A major update is in the works for SV2 - including German, French, and Brazilian Portuguese support! Korean is also being improved, thankfully.

This is currently in the technical preview phase for testing and feedback. Be sure to send them any bug reports.

Woah that's cool. Happy for the German community getting their language supported.

Yeesh. Looking at the forum thread for the announcment, people are NOT happy with how the new languages are looking right now. The biggest issues I've seen is that apparently the French XLS sounds extremely English-accented, not like native French. the French R sound and “an” nasal vowels doesn't sound correct, and some other vowels/consonants don't sound right. As you can see, it's pretty much all for French, but apparently the German doesn't sound the best either, and I don't see anything for the Portuguese. Despite these complaints, people are aware that this is still a beta, and that it's still a work in progress. Altogether though,, no matter how bad it is right now, it's still better than nothing and people agree with that.
