Wow, I hate the skater dresses so much, especially the Miku one. The fabric looks so cheap (because it's so shiny), I've never seen skater dresses that shiny before in my life. You could argue that shiny = futuristic, but it just looks like a really bad cosplay/cheap Halloween costume where it's shining like the sun.
Usually skater dresses are only subtly shiny or have more of a cotton texture. I feel like shiny + clothes looking like it's painted on your body seems like a bad cosplay, especially if you are an anime fan aware of how their outfits are "supposed" to look/fit. As in it looks weird/wrong compared to a "traditional" cosplay. I think that even if you were a normie that had no clue who Miku or Luka were, it would be strange seeing someone wearing an outfit of an outfit.

You’d need a proxy or forwarding service to do that! A lot of people here are fond of using buyee as a proxy and others like using Tenso as their forwarding service! 
@Rolo: Double check the CFM blog post to be sure, but it looks to me from the quoted bit like these will be sold overseas via Tokyo Otaku Mode.
Dang, some of those bags appeal to me, too, but the only places I'd really get use of them they'd just get beat to crap.
It's worth comparing prices, Tokyo Otaku Mode is a bit on the expensive side, it's usually cheaper to buy directly from Japan even of you need a proxy. Plus, Otaku Mode doesn't always ship internationally, only within north america. That depends on the item, sometimes they have restrictions on where they can ship.

I know this post is a little far back but I just saw it today and I have to say I actually kind of like the dresses lol
I can see why others may find them unappealing but I'd wear them, I looked on their website and this one is my fav. Don't think I'll actually buy it because as an avid thrift shopper 50 bucks is a little too steep of a price for me, but I find these outfits very charming.
