My favorite demo is the 1st one and I think her new design grew on me so I am used to it now.

For the engine noise thing, they did say in a DTM Station interview that they had to balance speed with quality (because otherwise it would take hours to render 1 song), so I guess it can't be helped.

I don’t really see a problem with the engine noise, but i guess its just me being used to background filter noise in stuff

I kinda(?) like her design, but it seems a bit extravagant (a trend I’ve noticed coughmikuntcough) esp when compared to her Vocaloid design

Overall, I’m interested in Yukari’s CeVIO

I just waiting to see how independent producers use Yukari Rei, I hope they fully utilize the software to it's full potential without corporate intervention or just the lazy method of plug and play. I quite like the 3rd and latest demo, it sounds like they put more effort on it than the previous ones.
At least for me

As someone who has used Yukari in V4, what immediately strikes me listening to Yukari Rei, especially on the third demo posted, is how stable and consistent her tone is now. In Vocaloid, you can get great results through tuning, but its really a struggle. You have to constantly fight against her pitchy, overly sharp, and breathy voicebank that doesn't handle manipulation well. In Cevio, you have the new engine noise present, but her high notes have never sounded better than here I think. There are certain extremely subtle traits in Chihiro's voice which I can hear in Rei now, which I previously couldn't in her past Vocaloid releases. The major setback I think is just the engine noise itself, other than that, I think its a good thing that they are keeping Yukari alive by trying to move her to a platform that actually has a future in voicebank development. Currently, I am on the fence of either preordering her, or waiting until c flower.

Honestly I wish they’d give us the option to choose between speed and quality like SynthV AI. Personally I would be willing to wait that long if it would mean the quality is significantly better.

That being said I don’t think she sounds bad here, but I’m just not as into Yukari as I once was to get too excited about it

I don't remember where I read it, but I heard that Yukari Rei was to receive a speaking Cevio AI eventually at some point, am I just remembering wrong?

I only ever saw it on Cevio wiki and nowhere else and I couldn't find any sources on this :/ and the ones they listed didn't mention it. So I'm really curious about it too....does anyone have any info 👀 cuz it is very plausible scenario but I haven't seen any evidence yet.

Super weird... I also think its strange how all of the Cevio AIs announced so far are all either exclusively song vbs or talking vbs and not a single one is getting both yet. (except maybe sasara? idk)

There's been a lot of talk/discussion on whether Yukari CeVIO is just a port of her Vocaloid bank or not, but there's actually confirmation that she isn't.

One of the questions asked if her VP, Chihiro Ishiguro, was involved, and the response was yes, they had her coming into the studio to record 15-20 songs per week starting in late June, for a total of 100 songs. The reason she sounds so much like Yukari's Vocaloid is because they used her Vocaloid bank as a singing reference and had Chihiro replicate it as much as she could to keep "the feeling of Yukari" - this was intentional. There's a lot more that they did and it's all written in the article, but that's the gist of it.

This article was actually published almost a month ago, but the reason I read it now is because it was linked from this article about Kiritan's CeVIO bank which says that she's being released by AHS while Yukari's CeVIO is being released by Techno-Speech instead, and I was like "huh, that's weird." Didn't really find an answer for why that is (honestly I forgot that AHS hasn't talked about Yukari's CeVIO like....... at all, and they're not even selling it on their site), but I think what I did find was honestly more important.

(There's no mention of her getting a talk bank, though. I think people just kind of assumed, especially during the initial announcement since I thought the same thing as well, and then no one ever realized/got around to fixing what was already written on the wiki.)

I guess that speaks to how realistic Vocaloid Yukari is! Personally I'm sad they didn't add more of the nuances of Chihiro's voice - for me this would have added value to the software - but I understand the desire to have a port that's faithful to the voice people already know. I'm interested to find out what differences experienced Yukari users find between the two voicebanks.

Ah, I'm really glad we got that out of the way! I'm happy that isn't the case, that's so much better! But since that is.....the case....well there's bit of an irony.....in using this new technology just to perfectly emulate an already existing product with no significant changes. I know why is that, but it's still ironical and I don't like it.

I've been thinking about this, is she only gonna be on Kitamura? Are we aware of any other sites she might be on :marie_ork_lili: If that's the only one so far she'll be a pain to get for westerners.

She's available for purchase on Amazon JP as well! Haven't seen any other purchase options aside from that, though.

They've ran out of acrylic stands that's supposed to come with preordering her since she's selling better than expected. Any orders from here on out won't come with one. (This tweet is the notice that they're running out, but on her actual product page there's a notice saying it's all gone)

RIFP, I was /just/ about to place my preorder. Welp, at least there's no rush for me now.
