In what is undoubtedly a new record, I finished the entire s5p, harmonies and all, AND translated the original song, all in just over two hours. Nice! Since it's a love song, I think I'm gonna aim to release it for Valentine's day.

Well, I've made a little headway on Shoot Him Down, but my frustration with trying to form a decent-sounding chorus has led me to force-quit it. Again. My intention was to try again today, but then I saw that ilem uploaded the Baidu link to the off-vocal of one of my favorite Tianyi songs, and I was able to download it through JDownloader, and it would take such great advantage of Haiyi's lower range, and, well... new cover in the works.
Also! I was able to return the fermented ass cleanser I wasted my money on yesterday and exchange it for this really neat Rose Quartz and Charcoal cleanser. I'm not the biggest fan of the ingredients, but it smells nice and will hold me over until tomorrow, when I can either 1.) check Walgreens for that Matcha and Milk Thistle cleanser I wanted so bad or 2.) accept that I'm happy with that Yes to Tomatoes cleanser and stop spending so much on products I don't completely need.

Gaaaaaaaah. That stupid cleanser I bought today smells like... like fermented ass. I was promised manuka honey and yogurt extract, and all I got was broken dreams and trust issues. I committed a cardinal sin and used a walnut shell scrub because it was the only thing within arm's reach that would wash away the stench of regret.
I wonder if Walgreens sells that Matcha and Milk Thistle cleanser. I don't wanna deal with Ulta.
How do you make a chorus effect? When I try layering vocals and panning them in multiple channels and even adding tons of reverb, it just sounds like one really, really loud voice.
So a couple of days ago, I gave up on that cleansing cream I was trying and bought a cleanser from the Yes to Tomatoes line, because I love their body soap. It's been working well; it's got very gentle exfoliation, and it smells good, but the jojoba beads can be a pain to wash off completely when I'm just using the sink and I'm paranoid about using a daily exfoliant when exfoliation is usually only recommended twice weekly at most.
And that's the justification I used to get a new cleanser. This is the third one I've bought in the past week and a half.
God help me.
I had an amazing dream last night. Usually I'm plagued with awful nightmares due to a combination of my meds and my insomnia, but last night? There was a new skincare/makeup shop in town. They carried my favorite sunscreen by the buttload. I left that store with a full purse and a full heart.
I've never been so sad to wake up. Waking up meant having to face my 3/4ths empty sunscreen bottle and acknowledging that I'll have to go to the trouble of ordering it again soon.
A brand I've come to love has a grapefruit gel-cream. I hate grapefruit-scented anything, especially skincare. Can't stand it. I bought it anyway, because the more skincare the better, and this brand hasn't disappointed me yet, so maybe this one will be different. Peeled back the protective layer once I got home, and I couldn't even put it on my face; I just smelled the damn thing and immediately put the lid back on it and tossed it into the Sin Bin (a bin I keep under the bathroom counter for skincare products I impulse-buy that don't work out).
This won't be the last time something like this happens.
...I've probably spent as much on skincare as I have on my vocalsynth collection at this point, honestly.
Yay~ I think I found a good new username for Bilibili! 嚭怯桃 - Pǐqiètáo. The first two characters are prounounced kind of like "Peach/Peaches" and translate to "greatly timid/cowardly" (I think), and the last character just means "Peach". I am, in fact, a greatly timid/cowardly Peach, so here's hoping no one else takes it within the next five days!
I wonder if there's a way to change your username on Bilibili. Google's not helping, because there's just not a lot of English-language help regarding Bilibili. I'm considering uploading some of my covers, and I'd like to have a more fitting username - my current is 我o不o知o道 (Wǒ
bù zhī dào, basically meant to be read as "I don't fuckin' know what I'm doing").
I kinda like it, but it doesn't fit with the peach-themed names I go under on literally every single platform other than Facebook.
By the blessings of @patuk's patience, I think I've figured out a way to get myself out of my writing rut.
TBBC has been my most dearly-beloved brainchild for the past two years, and the fact that I just... haven't been able to write anything more for it has been killing me. So what better to do when you can't come up with anything new than to refine what you have and build upon it?
So! I'm going to rewrite the whole damn fic. But rather than just post chapters as they come to me, timeline be damned, I'm going to organize it and post it from the beginning. The first chapter will be Oliver arriving in Japan, and it'll go from there. It'll give me a chance to fix what I've already got while adding on more detail, giving these characters even greater depth and giving readers more of a reason to actually read.

A while back, YouTube started recommending Spongebob clips dubbed in Taiwanese Mandarin, and honestly, it's been surprisingly helpful in teaching me Mandarin... I was watching one just now and immediately recognized "Wo hao ai" ("I really love"). It's slow, since it's not a fully active process, but it's fun!

I've come to the decision that, if ever I'm doing a Japanese/Mandarin/Whatever song with English backing parts, I'm gonna use Sonika. Her tone is beautiful, and being used in the background will cover up her Skype noises... I have her singing backup in Just a Game and it's working out really well. Give that girl a chance!

I tend to viciously consume any form of skincare that involves green tea and/or matcha. I also have a soap addiction and keep bringing home more soap than I know what to do with, because my mom thinks bar soap is unsanitary and my sister just thinks it’s inconvenient.
A few days ago I went into the local Harps for the first time, considering fulfilling a craving and getting some cake... and I instead found a section of large, fancy soaps in an assortment of fragrances.
Including green tea.
I now have five nine-ounce bars of green tea soap in my bathroom. My mother was disappointed, but not surprised. Worth it. -
