Over the past few years, I have noticed that some companies that produce vocal synthesizers are ambitious and innovative, producing new features that exceed public expectations. Other companies may not produce new and exciting features, but they are committed to updating their current voice banks to keep up with the latest vocal synthesizer technologies. These companies should be supported by all of us.

However, there are certain companies that are currently in their "comfort zone" instead of pushing towards the advancement of vocal synthesizer technologies. Instead of being the actual pioneers with proven results, they cling to nostalgia and release half-baked products. They are delaying important updates that are needed to the current voice bank and giving empty promises to their customers. Meanwhile, they keep squeezing every last drop of "value" from their own characters. It's no wonder that more and more people are becoming dissatisfied with their attitude. Despite the complaints, these companies remain blind to their shortcomings and continue to live in their own fantasy world. Unfortunately, there are still fans who are blind to these issues and continue to blindly support these companies while criticizing those with legitimate concerns.
I know that Circus and Crusher's relationship was toxic, but man did they write some certified bangers together. (listening to reuploads of Wildfire and Crystalline)

I bought Haruno Sora last night after I remembered she had a lite version and I fell in love all over again ;-; I've been working on this on and off with Feng Yi for a year or so lol and thought Sora would be a good fit! Still have fine tuning to do also Sora has some consistency problems in tone in her higher octaves and it is annoying because it isn't every note just some ;-;

Edit: Uploaded the harmonies not the main vocals rip fixed now
I'd work with NNSVS more if it wasn't such a setup to get it started every time. DiffSinger is more convenient as i don't need to run a "server" to do it, but these free AI synths still take a long time to render anything. I don't have the most high-end hardware, so that's probably my fault.
I don't get how I'm supposed to tell DiffSinger what language it's supposed to sing in. In the end, classic UTAU are still the easiest, but remembering all the unique flags present with all the different resamplers is a chore. I wish OpenUTAU already knew what all the flags were for each one, but that's probably a lot of work.
I know that I should probably be using SynthV lite, but I don't want to work with watered down versions of the Pro voices. This really is an expensive hobby.

By the way, is it really true that Vocaloid2 voices sound different than intended in Vocaloid3/4? That sounds like an issue to me. Do the old V2 voices come with the editor? I would like to someday get Luka V2, but I don't want to risk getting the voice and not the editor to use it in.
Ok, so

I really don't understand people surpricing about good covers or originals done with V1 or V2 engine, they can sound really realistic and capable of many thing, is just different engine with different work systems. Most of the time people had just seen bad covers.

I agree whole heartedly as the biggest Sweet Ann fan on earth I also think for v1 in particular it might be a sample size problem for most of the newer fans who don’t know what or how to search for them? I guess v2 nowadays aswell cause I forget how long it’s been since it’s release
I heard or saw people say about "engine noise" in vocal-synths a lot but do you know how it actually sounds? can you describe how it's sounds like? and is that really a big deal?

I'm curious. . . What's your thoughts?

I don’t have much of a technical opinion on it but I can offer my own experience I am deaf in my right ear with very limited hearing abilities (like none) but with Cevios old engine noise it used to flare my tinnitus terribly for a few days after like around 10 mins of listening to cevio covers where it wasn’t edited out lol, also had the issue less so with every other vocal synth but not as bad e.e I think it’s more so a frequencies thing for me? Like I can’t recall anything aside from a metallic twang in my good ear but my bad one tries to shut down :x

It's not far off from what i expected. Seem like our problem is more or less the same.

Any vocal-synths have some glitch/artifact into it(AI singer have this problem too) like crack, pop, click, buzzing, metallic sounds, it's quite a complicate topic to talk because every voicebanks are different, some voicebanks are prone to such problems like Luka for an example, meanwhile some voicebanks that i know and used like Miku, IA, VY1 are pretty much glitch free.

In my experience most of these engine noise problems can be easily fix without tools, you can trim it or cut it in any DAW but some problems is very difficult or next to impossible to fix because these artifact sound already inside the material.

Keep in mind that these problem just simply disappeared when listening in context of the song. Well. . . most most of the time.

I understand your feeling. The untreated sound in some vbs can be painful to listen too due to excessive fundamental tone or excessive sizzling sounds, very tiring to listen, these can easily trigger tinnitus. I'm prone to 600hz to 2khz these frequency sound offended to me.
