  • I didn't made this cover but i mix them, so i might upload it for portfolio so it won't lost in time.

This is a private UTAU so it doesn't have name or mascot(yet), It's a bundle pack VCV vb with male and female voice. It will be upload to public soon. It is still in progress.
It's support NNSVS/ENUNU and was trained by using voice provider as model (a full time voice actor).
I do think that Rent-to-own software is a great option if overall price are roughly the same. It's in the middle ground between pay a full price and questionable subscription model.

i'd even take a little bit of a price increase (within reason). software is expensive..sometimes it can be hard to gather all the funds up front..

Most of the plugins/software i brought are Rent-to-own like Apogee, RX10, Korg collection etc included non-music software related like CAD/CAM software. I never have any bad experience with rent-to-own business model, as long as you respect the rule. Yes, it's a little more expensive (3-15% depend on rate of interest) but let's say you don't like it or you are not using it anymore, those software you rent will turn into subscription or trial mode, after it expire you just uninstall it, no hard feeling.

I think it's a good opportunity for vocal synth software and they might bundle up their product with voicebanks and have rent-to-own as an option to increase sale. Well i don't see any downside anyway.
You done a good job musk.

    Bravo.

The new direction sounds like they want to make the WeChat of the international community, which kinda scares me. But I suppose it's the only way they can try to compete with Meta at this point.

All good, I understood. Just what I have been thinking about with the recent changes. It is all very concerning
I have no idea why this is happen, this is how it actually work?

It looks like snap is turned on for the pitchbend parameter. It’s turned on by default and you can hold down a button(maybe control? Not sure) while drawing points to get a smooth line. Stupid decision on Yamaha’s part to not make it like in V4.

I should have known sooner that the reaper had delta solo and monitoring track.

I wish they have track inspector, i miss it a lot since cubase.

In technical term, delta solo will listen to the different Wet/Dry signal only, let say i using compressor to compress a audio signal for 3dB and if i click a delta solo button i can only hear that 3dB of compressed signal. With that ability, now you can monitor the incoming wet/dry signal from the plugin and hear what plugin do to your signal.

@AddictiveCUL (Add) I should say a Monitoring FX (not track, sorry my mistake.)

They have their own Output so any effect you put in the Monitoring FX wont be affect any channel It is there for monitoring purpose.

Although in my opinion Cubase are much better when it come to function (it's very advance), but monitoring fx on reaper is sufficient and i like to keep it that way.
I start to see people use v1-v2 voicebanks and turn them into AI bank, is that legal?

From my understanding, things like VocalMorph are ok because they are like post render editing software such as melodyne, and not a ToS violation. Using the samples or renders in another synthesis software is a different matter.

honestly i think the process of training the voice for anything AI is the problem-- just, its not like you ripped out samples and created a new *voice bank* but in theory, its still the same idea- you can now use the voice entirely outside of vocaloid which i think is mostly how the tos applies the rules? you cant use vocaloid outside of vocaloid i guess?

yeah, i almost made an avanna ai vb but my conscience was raging against me as i was waiting so eventually i shut the whole process down. i respect avanna as she is and i shouldn't exploit her like that. i think a lot of the miku ai stuff i've seen comes from a place of scorn toward crypton as well

some characters have official rvc vbs though, e.g. tsukuyomi-chan (thanks to irunabara's talkloids for alerting me to her existence)
Maybe it's just me but i like eq that use step control or fix band or both.. same as compressor etc.
I feel like some people are getting too "carried away" about musk-san with his little blue bird and their questionable move.
People are not seem to care at all doesn't mean they are not aware of. Some people don't use twitt that much, so if this "questionable" move of musk-san are either temporary or permanent it will not affect this group of people. If worst case happen.. they just leave. Simple as that.

I don't think putting a pressure to people who still tweet casually is fine. Please stop.
I know it's a silly question and probably pointless but old vocaloid (v2-v4) are CVVC base? If that so a good vcv utau should sound more smoother in transition?

This is interesting, i don't know about other software like cevio, synthv are using the similar methods when it come to reclist, since they base around AI.

Let's say, using cevio or synthv in a traditional way, just like using vocaloid 3-4 it should give similar result? I still using renri with synthv, it's feel similar to renri vcv on utau.

Renri is a different case in SynthV; she's a standard voicebank and a port of her Utau.

I dunno about English voicebanks though, they might still be CVVC?
